I miss this drive so much. Yeah, traffic can be bad, but seeing these views when I'd come up to visit family...bittersweet to me. Hope to be able to cross the border again soon. Thank you for providing these and helping me reconnect with an area I love so much.

Thanks for the comment. Hopefully the border opens at some point this summer. I’d like to do some traveling again outside of Canafa

Interesting. I drove a similar route every day in 2006-2007, (in both directions - Toronto-Hamilton and Hamilton-Toronto) only my starting position from Hamilton was from Centennial Parkway loop, on Queen Elizabeth why. My final position would also be close to the airport - Ronson Dr. But I got there by driving the Queen Elizabeth Highway all the way to the south end of the 427 highway, and from there over 27 to the Dixie Rd turn off, then Martin Grove Rd and finally Ronson Dr.

What a nice video. Like I said in one of your videos, it's safe to say ON-403 gives me a nice Ontario and Texas vibe. Hopefully the border opens so it'll be time to show us some Interstates other than Ontario Highways.

The final 45 km of the 403 make the route a complete bypass of the 401 since 1997. Great drive!!! 😉👍 Also, it's cool to see the express lanes of the 403 linking to the 401's express lanes heading east. That will help reduce traffic as drivers need to choose the lanes wisely.

The 403 in Mississauga is a very nice stretch of highway!

What I like is the skyline starting from 6:20 as you play for 5 seconds as the view is getting wider.

Thank you for the comment. I agree that the 403 is a nice highway.

This drive is similar to your 2017 night drive of the QEW, but the difference is you started in the Hamilton Harbour turning left to the Nikola Tesla Blvd and into Toronto-bound QEW and after the merge with the 403, you shot the last 23 km of the 403 and into the 401 and 427. I'm just comparing those two videos. Edit: It's good to compare day and night drives, right?

Does anybody know the answer to why 403 is built strangely in Mississauga?
@AsphaltPlanet1 Жыл бұрын
The 407 through Halton Region was originally supposed to be the 403. So the 403 would have continued westerly straight through the large interchange west of Winston Churchill, while the north south segment from the QEW to the 401 would have been its own through highway, likely with a different number than 407

Great video! Are you aware the QEW is Highway 451 for administrative purposes?
@CrystalClearWith8BE3 жыл бұрын
I searched in Wikipedia about the 400-series highways and the QEW. Of course, I knew that.
@AsphaltPlanet13 жыл бұрын
Benjamin, thanks for the comment, I was aware that the QEW is sometimes referred to as the 451.
