@thoms35232 жыл бұрын
All the single family homes are behind the trees on the way downtown. There aren’t many of them left right downtown especially near the freeways. Land values are just too high and have long been bought up and replaced by hi-rise towers.

At the end of the video it says you filmed it on August 12, 2018 but in the video title it says July 15. Also, is it true that some in Toronto want to downgrade the DVP? If your video captured a quiet time it needs to be greatly expanded.
@AsphaltPlanet15 жыл бұрын
This video was filmed on July 15. I must have forgotten to change the date in the end screen. I’ve missed that before. The Parkway is pretty chronically congested, but it’s pretty unlikely it will ever be expanded. There have been some ideas to build an HOV lane as far south as Eglinton, but that’s unlikely to happen in my opinion. Most investment in Toronto is in rapid transit. There are several new transit lines proposed or under construction in the rough vicinity of the Don Valley Parkway. Thanks for the comment.

Another example home to selfish, incompetent and reckless drivers. Left lane hogs north of 401 with signs “Slower Traffic Stay Right” is never read or abide, either cannot read or they just don’t care, the later is very much the case. Driving south of 404, the nightmare begins due to the worst design motorway section in the world. Completely idiotic. Just picture this, you have the busiest motorway, 401 travelling east and west along with DVP travelling north and 404 merging into DVP. Driving south to DVP you encounter three lanes merge into two and six lanes merge into three. You have all at the same time, two lanes 401 east merge on the right, 401 west merge on to left and 404 south merge in between. Just imagine the jam this occurs all day and night. I have never seen chaos in my entire driving experience. When you have the typical Ontario drive competence and selfish driving habits, it is a nightmare. Complete disaster and whoever thought this was a good idea, the name and shame should be posted for all to see as you crawl into a wall of trucks and cars crawling at a fast speed of 5 km/hr for a half hour. If there is an accident ahead, just turn your vehicle off and watch the nightmare that beholds in front of you. Junk in Junk out!
