A group of Mississauga homeowners hired a construction company with a reputable name, only to find out that it wasn’t the company they thought - setting into motion a series of bizarre events that ended with the arrest of a homeowner.

If the police didn't have such fragile ego's and there was oversight over law enforcement as a whole, maybe jurisdictions would communicate more and things like wouldn't happen with more information being dispersed to various law enforcement agencies. Criminals have exploited the regional nature and 'respect-my-authority' ego's of policing for far too long'. All you have to do as a criminal is cross a regional boundary and suddenly your crimes aren't worth the police's time because it would require co-ordination, paper-work and for them to humble themselves enough to approach another division. This is how auto theft proliferated, and when police temporarily swallowed their pride, they were able to save 598 stolen cars from being exported.

This sort of thing also happens in the trucking industry whereby a fly by night company steals the name of a long time reputable company. If its not the same name, its EXTREMELY close to it. So many scams and scammers now, you need to be cautious of EVERYTHING!!!

My dad was scammed by a paving company when he was 80 years old. I’m not accusing pavers of being as corrupt as roofers, but…….🤷🏼‍♂️
