Love mine :) Regarding the buffeting, I put a Puig blade on the top of my screen, and that cleaned up the air stream nicely. My three major nitpicks are: 1) I really wish I could switch into offroad mode on the fly without stopping the bike, and I HATE that the bike won't stay in the mode that I left it in when I turn the bike off 2) I really wish that they'd done a better job on the menuing system and the overall layout of the TFT. I'd really like to be able to choose a few numbers to pin to the display so they were always available without digging into menus. 3) They put the air filter under the gas tank, which makes it a PITA to change. I like the 900's location much, much better for that.

Hey Curtis, loved your video. I have the bike girl. I call her Lurch for her snappy response when twisting the throttle. I like your review, although ok would say its easy to use all of the rear shock when hitting a bump! Other then that, id say your spot on! Thanks for your review, and keep it upright!

Thanks Curtis, great to see and some super twin track footage! Nice job getting it back online after that root at 00:23:33. When these kinds of beasts get really knocked offline, they can be a handful when things are tight. With all the KTM issues, I'm seriously looking for some other dirt worthy big bike alternatives. While I will miss that V-Twin of the 1290, Triumph has certainly been upping their game recently and this is obvioulsy a real player. With a Curtis Chuckle score of 9.1, how can I not get out on it. Thanks!

Owned this bike for 30k km. Pro: Comfort, power, QS, electronic suspension, brakes, induction roar, 21/18 combo, looks. Con: Unable to change all ride modes on the fly, rear shock bottoms out on bit hits, 1st gear too tall for steep downhill sections, airfilter access (need pre-filter), left foot gets water directed onto it. 🍻

Love this review video. The enthusiasm and fun you’re having flogging this thing in the woods is contagious. Definitely reminds me of your Tuareg off road review video. I don’t recall if you’ve thrashed a Tiger 900 RP in the same fashion. If you have, if you could choose one of the two, which would you prefer? Seems you get on better with the 1200 than the 900.

My biggest complaint is having to come to a total stop between street and off road modes and between off road and off road pro modes. It’s almost a deal breaker. No reason for it and super frustrating, especially when you are riding with others.
@onthebackwheel2 ай бұрын

They do it for safety but it’s actually more dangerous as after a while you can’t be bothered changing it so for sections you ride on road in off road mode with zero safety features or off road in road mode if the TC will allow it. It’s just crazy and ruins what would be a great big bore adventure bike. The thing is damn good on the road isn’t it. For such a big heavy bike with a 21” wheel she’s amazing fun on the tar!
