Yes to updated DR650 with EFI, upgraded suspension.I have the DRZ 400 and VStrom 650; both are famous for reliability. Suzuki just launched the updated DRZ, better suspension and EFI, no 6th gear. However, I I’d a study on the 5th gear ratio on the DR; it’s taller than many 6th gears, so they can keep the 5 speed, I’d buy the DR650 over the CF Moto 40 or RE Him 450 for one simp,e reason- weight! DR650 at 365 lbs is simply better off road..weight matters.

I'm keeping a keen eye on that new drz4. Here's hoping they do something similar for the 650

Wow how dare triumph not engineer the suspension just for you! I suppose these manufacturers should do every bike as a custom setup for each person. But they would charge an extra 3k+. Where a suspension tuner would be under a 1k. 🤷♂️

Nah this is too stiff and harsh for nearly everyone unless you are on the track all the time or a heavy guy

Every bike than is twice your weight is a bike way to heavy.

That's a very well put video for the RE 450 Himalayan review! Every bit was there, the dirt, tight and technical, rocks, doulbe and single tracks.. Very well put.. wish I have had this video before and that would have helped tremendously, as they do not give customers here in India (homeland of RE) to test it to its limits..shame that, but they lost a potential buyer. I'm currently enjoying the 250 Vstrom nevertheless..
@RoamMeYo23 сағат бұрын
One more thing I noticed is that even in the Zuk, the pedal controls are pretty flimsy, just enough to take the hard fall, but soft enough to be pulled back on the trail, instead of snapping off completely. I think that is thoughful feature, not just cheap steel.

I was hopelessly trapped under a 600 lb bike on a backroad in the mountains. A guy driving a fully loaded log truck came along stopped and helped me. After 40 years of riding, it was the first time something like that had happened. I spent a lot of time on self reflection.
@onthebackwheel2 күн бұрын
Did it change anything for you?
@gutsbiker2 күн бұрын
@@onthebackwheel Yes, I made a string of mistakes that put me in that situation. Poor choice of a place to turn around, I was on a incline, I had a new gel seat pad that changed the seat height and was a loose fit. I was dead tired from riding the previous day, I had a bad night with little sleep. And the worst mistake was, I think I used the front front brake in a slow turn. Lessons learned, don't use the seat pad on curvy back roads, don't touch the front brake on slow turns, don't ride when dead tired. And I asked myself if I'm getting to old to be riding a heavy bike, late 60s. I think not.
