They already knew he was texting about the slap. I agree with him the incident have been discussed thoroughly by everybody and there's no need to discuss it any further. I won't discuss the slap, but I feel sorry for the Williams' sister cause I don't believe that people who had postponed watching the movie, myself included, would be able to watch it now without thinking of the slap.

…okay my mind is blown. I’ve only ever seen one movie with Andrew. That was the social network and I had never watched any interview with him I didn’t know he was British! I though he was American ! Lol I heard that accent and I was like what! Mind blown! Lol

I think the fact that he joked about it later meant he was likely trying to poke fun at something uncomfortable. Maybe he found it offensive and that's how he dealt with it. Maybe he sided with Will.
