Truly some of the most enjoyable content on KZbin! My first Scotty was a Terrillium Newport that I got in the late 90s. Early 2000s I got a Del Mar3 Pro Platinum. I bought it at a course in Scottsdale, Arizona for $105. No way did I tell my wife that I spent that much on a putter. Now, I want to know where I could go to have a fitting experience like shown here.

❤ the Phantom’s X5….33” (2 x 20 gr) took me some times to adjust particularly the line up (not 100% face balanced) went to the garage for some periods but always came back in the bag. 😎 His particular sound & soft feeling ( used Titleist ProV1 & Srixon Q-Star Tour ball ) ….the feeling is awesome 🎉 🫶 , best played 29 putts for an 15 handicap. The downside are Scotty Cameron grips….there’s nothing more personal than grips . I changed it for the last 2 years with a Lamkin SINKFIT Straight and it worked for me. Lines on the ball or not ? Good question …and I tend to agree with lines on inside 6’ straight more or less and no line for longer putts & % of slopes, breaks + steepness etc., Thanks for this inside interview with a serious PRO who love the Game. Merci ErEf, Montréal, Canada

Great video! Love watching all of your content. I had putted with the same SC Studio 1.5 blade style putter for over 20 years. Tried dozens and dozens of other putters over the years and never found anything I liked the feel of, or putted well with. Like you, I felt very comfortable with the look of that putter. I recently tried the Phantom 9.5 and made everything in sight in the studio. I made the switch and saw my putts per round see a significant drop, allowing me to still maintain a low single digit handicap as I have aged and seen a painful drop in distance. Keep the new content coming!

I love watching these videos which go into the technical aspect of golf, I think it's because I work in IT technology fascinates me in how it can improve and highlight things that are so easily missed by the human eye, but also it makes you appreciate how incredible players in the past must have been to be able to shoot incredibly low rounds with what would by todays standards be considered such basic equipment. I love the squareback putter but also am partial to a fang putter I have a huntington beach #11 fang putter which is apparently as close as you can get to a budget scotty. One day I'll I hope to have a Scotty in my bag but I am one of those short golfers he didn't want to mention standing at just 5'2 🤣🤣. Another amazing video Iona and wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 🎄⛄

Fascinating video. So interesting to see the technology now employed to understand the putting part of the game. I have never tried a Scotty Cameron putter but they are things of beauty for sure. Old lady golfer here and in the late 1970s I had the privilege of having a George Nicol (old school Scottish club makers)putter custom made for me. I still use it.

I spent 4 years putting putter covers on a man's Scotty Squareback. It was scarred, dinged, and scratched beyond repair. He eventually said, "Since you care so much about my putter, why don't you have it?" Then gave me his putter. It was so damaged when I ended up trying to repair it to my best. The repairs ended up taking around 7 grams off it. One day, I hope to get a new one, but I'm pretty happy with what I have, and I hope you enjoy yours too.

Insightful video. I have an old original Terillium Newport that I love but changed to a Phantom 5.5 and it transformed my short putts. I still prefer a blade from distance tho and have had to really concentrate on longer putts with the mallet. The one thing that I did with all my Scottys however was change out the grips. A superstroke is hard to beat imo.
