Next time you see a snowmaker, buy him a beer. Most badass hardest working guys on the mountain, hands down.

Thank you for explaining the economics of snow making related to "wet bulb' weather factors. Snow making is key for most resort groomers and where most of the hard work happens to keep the chairlifts turning when we are not blessed with lots of natural snow.

#lpparlee there are two different additives that can be used in snowmaking they are called snomax and drift. snomax is a nucleation additive that is made of the dead ground up bacteria that is most commonly found in corn. the use of this agent is to act as a nucleation particle for the ice to form around. the second additive drift is used to break the tension of the water to form smaller particles of water. its similar to dish soap.

Thank you for explaining the science behind snow making. It would be nice however to tell a bit more about the environmental implications of snow making in the context of climate change. Maybe just an idea for the next video.

"Environmental implications" implies that snow making is bad for the environment. What does making snow have to do with the environment? What are you really attempting to ask?

I will like you to explain to us, the audience, the environmental implications of your comment on youtube in the context of climate change. Thank you

@@emmijames358 They're obviously just trying as usual to shoehorn their agenda into any topic they can. They're on their phone or computers that contain plastics and using the internet, routers and electricity but want everyone to know they are consumed about climate change. Hypocrites.

And where is the energy coming from? From burning fossil fuels?

I can tell you it is not solar power.

Where is the energy coming from to run your PC or to charge your mobile phone battery? Just to piss you off, I will purposely go leave my RAM truck with a 5.7L Hemi running for an hour in the driveway. Sometimes I drive around for no reason. Gas is only $3.25 a gallon here now (that's almost 4 liters).
