As an avid fluke fisherman thank you for releasing the larger fish I believe as you do about size matters why kill off the breeders. My largest catch was 5-9 that I also released.

Last year I was out on the shoals fishing for fluke. Did great i got my limit but also caught 2 surprises. Mine you I was using a popcorn rig. I hooked roughly a 12 ft shark. 30 min later it broke off. A hour later I landed a albie . All on a popcorn rig with squid or spearing...
@wayne30434 жыл бұрын
get rid of the squid spearing combo and you won't get dog fish !!! all you need is gulp

Well when you can't catch fluke but you are catching dog fish at least they do taste good. Comparing the two together though is like comparing crappie to catfish. One is definitely better than the other but both are definitely good eating.

Nothing more satisfying then doing it yourself in my opinion if you catch a big fish it's the captain's fish not your you paid for that fish

Bull shit, I regularly catch 8-12 lb fluke on the underwater hills and wrecks off the New Jersey coast every year. I release 99% of all fish I catch except those I plan to eat within 24 hours.
