Great video. Thank you. I do find that front sprocket a bit too thin. Wouldnt that tend to wear the splines in the output shaft? Thanks again for this series of videos.
@ONTWOWHEELSBEN4 жыл бұрын
sampoteste it is a universal size 520 pitch sprocket . But in comparison to the stock 525 pitch sprocket it is about .8 mm thinner ( excluding the runner inserts which is a relatively newer design ) . And it’s a snug fit like any other sprocket on the final drive shaft .

@ONTWOWHEELSBEN4 жыл бұрын
there is absolutely no way the bike can be made to go faster than 142 kilometers/hr without changing the cubic capacity. you can increase acceleration by changing front and rear sprockets ,also by increasing the volumetric efficiency at higher rpms with a better flowing air filter, a free flow muffler and a power commander . also porting and polishing done properly will make a huge difference in acceleration.

Love shade-tree mechanics UNTIL they present wrong or useless information. RED thread locker is for permanent installation. Blue is for repairable assembly. Red is used for cylinder head or main cap studs to the block. Blue is used on the other end that will likely need future disassembly for repairs or modifications. Performance chain??? how? did it change the gear ratio? Do the sprockets have a different number of teeth? What was the stock ratio vs the new sprockets ratio? Bigger wider chain might be more durable to abuse but what "performance" change? Auto oilier would increase both performance with lubricity for less friction and life durability of both the chain and sprockets.
@ONTWOWHEELSBEN3 жыл бұрын
Red - For High Torque and Blue for Low torque isint really that far from what you have mentioned. Kindly don’t jump to your key board to insult someone without knowing where they come from . I dismantle and put back motorcycles almost every day . So each to his own . Now coming to the chain . Kindly read about what a 520 conversion can do to the unsprung weight of the motorcycle. For that matter what a slimmer tyre can do in terms of performance. Also , these are XW rings and not the conventional O rings and so longer life ( the seals don’t give up that easy ) translating to consistent performance. The sprocket options available for a 525 are far less compared to a 520 and that’s another reason why 520 conversions are popular. Lastly when you do not have a clue of what QUALITY of parts the manufacturer puts in to this bike . Why talk on assumptions. 520 pitch conversions have been done for almost 15 years now . Brands like DID , RK , EK specialise in chains and sprockets .
