Poland is indeed one of the most beautiful and easy to visit countries in all of Europe. Beautiful cities, excellent restaurants, great Polish food, bars, beer, attractions of all kinds and for all tastes, good prices and, very importantly, safety. I don't think there is a country anywhere in Europe where I one can feel as safe as they would in any Polish city. Poland is so clean and it is connection of three things: 1. You want it clean - give people trash beans. They are everywhere. 2. People don't drop trash - cultural thing. 3. Cleaning services works hard.

Warsaw has always been a priority... Suffice it to mention that materials from other western cities were used for the reconstruction. It's not a bad thing... they did a great job, because in some places Warsaw was seriously razed to the ground, even worse, because they had to clean up the ruins...

My husband and I loved Warsaw! The food tour, free tour, & car tour were awesome. The food was great. We loved sitting in the park listening to someone play Chopin. The inexpensive shopping was also wonderful. Their support of Ukraine was also perfect! Then the food, yummy!! We look forward to going back sometime.

​@@ONWorldTravel one of the greatest composers of all time. I recommend you to plan a trip around all Trójmieście (Gdańsk, Sopot, Gdynia) metropolis. It's quite good communicated and honestly it's a sin to be there and visit only one city . But it's a seaside area and most of attractions are focused around it. As fall season is here already, the place is not that much impressive at the moment. You would enjoy it more when you visit in the summer. Cheers 😉

I was hoping to hear this... after a visit to Prague a few years ago, was so impressed and wanted to see more of former soviet block countries. Until then, my impressions were formed by black and white films of places "behind the Iron Curtain" (at the time). All appearing depressing, people beat down and waiting in bread lines, but was surprised and delighted at how they have come back with beauty and dignity! When Arab Spring overran rest of Europe, I expected Poland and Czech Republic to stand their ground, because they were recently enough under Soviet rule that they valued their new-found freedom and weren't about to give it up so easily, and I was right! Kudos to both countries for protecting your boundaries and culture!!! I hope to visit soon! 👍

Sorry, but I should claryfy a common misconception. Warsaw was destroyed mostly by purposeful demolition after ceased of fights. Not only bombing. Germans, first robed what was left by expeled citizens (about 45 000 train cars with goods sent to Germany), then burn and finaly blowed up building after building. German ingenuity in that time was an obserwation that firstly burned building demands less explosives to be level down. There is a difference between bombing during fights and pure barbaric goverment directed theft and destruction act. Sorry that I spoil fan of turring Poland (you absolutely deserve a good time during vacation). But shorting a story of Warsaw to one more city bombed during WWII needs clarification.

Guys, just for context, the old town in Warsaw is an UNESCO heritage site, as it was reconstructed using old traditional techniques. It's the biggest reconstruction project like that. Gdansk is REALLY a place to go, when you're there, you should check Sopot and Gdynia too.

Sam mam blisko 30 i przeżyłem czasy gdzie lepiej było nie wychodzić na miasto wieczorem, ale nawet ludzie którzy wcześniej posłali by na wejściu piąchę w twarz bez pytania teraz częstują papierosami i zapraszają na kielicha :D i tak samo ciepło mi się robi w sercu jak słyszę że Polska jest tak chwalona przez inne nacje! If you like Poland so much I think you should say in this video that Auschwitz was a German camp and it belonged to Germany, not "General Government" made by Germans where Polish people lived. Without that somebody may think it was a polish camp (in fact old part of it was in fact a polish military camp for practicing soldiers before the war). And also you should know that there was no polish concentrations camps at all, they all were german in what now is polish ground as relics and muzeums.

Visited Krakow earlier this year after seeing Poznan a few times. Polish cities have this very nice touch of combining the old with new, without it looking ridicoulus. If you only have a day when going to Krakow i can highly recommend doing a combined tour, of the old salt mines and Auschwitz/Birkenau. Or doing each on a seperate day if you have the time and seeing the old city centre in between.

I'm in my 30s and lived in Poland all my life but I haven't been to Auschwitz. Even that short bit you showed of that place made me cry. I don't particularly like being a sobbing mess with snot running down my face in front of strangers. My great grandfather was killed in Majdanek concentration camp. Thank you for visiting.

If you want to see different vibes cities in Poland You should visit at least Gdańsk and Lodz apart of Krakow and Warsaw. Of course there are other nice location (Wroclaw, Poznan, Torun, Zamosc, Sandomierz, etc.)

Before World War II, Warsaw was called the Paris of the East, it was 1,000 times more beautiful than today, and Krakow is a city that avoided the fate of Warsaw, it is original, it avoided tragedy because Stalin wanted Krakow to belong to Soviet Russia, but fortunately it did not happen, Lwów was not lucky

There would probably be fewer Poles in Germany if the Germans had not destroyed us so much during the last war - they murdered 20% of the population. They especially murdered educated people. They would murder us all because, according to them, we were "subhuman". They got their asses kicked by the Russians, but we fell under Russian domination for several dozen years. The world was developing, and we were stuck in communism - we also owe that to the Germans. As a result, we fell into poverty. I would like to thank the Germans for their kind words about Poles who work well. May you, Germans, pay for everything you brought us. I don't mean money - maybe some epidemic or plague. You deserve it. Words about a nation of car thieves coming from German mouths are an insult. We may have stolen these cars, but we don't have millions of innocent victims on our conscience. Katowice is a very cultural place, there's something going on every day. Next time buy yourself a ticket to NOSPR, the acoustic there is just amazing. Go to Silesian Park for a walk or cycling, there are a lot of attractions, including good beer right at the gate of the ZOO.Come and see again.
