To be honest, Hong Kong is still relatively safe compare to a lot of North American cities. I can carry my mobile phone and wallet safely in my hands without worrying getting jack by others.

Extremely safe I would say. Red light is directly illuminated down onto pedestrian crossings at the sidewalk so people looking down at their phones are aware it's not safe to walk across the road, an implication being that your phone is highly unlikely to be snatched out of our hands by another person.

Unfortunately that's the only advantage, HK is safe only because it's a small city with CCTV's everywhere, local citizens all run out of HK to spend their money else where. It doesnt mean the crimes have gone down, they are actually increasing, just changed forms into frauds and scams. Robberies are rare on the streets, but they just changed into forms of breaking into houses and other properties, and occasionally robbing the jewelry shops or watch shops

Don’t know if anyone has said it yet, but at 3:18, the caption shows “Hong Kong Island” but the footage is taken at Tsun Sha Tsui which is on the Kowloon Peninsula. 2. The cable car ride is actually not from HK Island as the graphics show at 16:16 😂 you are already on Lantau Island (Tung Chung to be precise) when you take the cable car. Hope you enjoyed the stay~

When you eat soup dumplings, you put one in a larger spoon, add your vinegar and hot sauce as you prefer, poke a hole so that the soup leaks out to let it cool down a bit, because it can be very hot inside the dumpling. Then you bite off a portion, or the whole thing if you have a big mouth, and eat it. You let all the soup leak out of the little spoon before you put your dumpling onto your little spoon.

As a HongKonger I think the airbnb in HK are kinda like motel as most of them are vintage, old-fashioned or located in tenement buildings and the rooms are small as well (as most of the hosts cannot afford the land price). Enjoyed the video but i don't feel it's really accurate. My parents come to visit me every year and they don't find it full on at all as they like hiking and going to the beaches and visiting all the outlying islands. Spend your days in shek O, Stanley, Sai Kung etc and HK is pretty chill. And just to be clear HK definitely doesn't "have a land scarcity problem" its got a land supply issue and I'm not playing semantic games here - those 2 things are very different. Its a bit too long too explain here but essentially as the HK gov raises the majority of it's revenue outside of taxation, via land sales its in its interest to keep the price artificially very high by only releasing small packets at auction at any given time. Developers who win the land horde it in their land banks for the same reason. Actually HK has millions of hectares of greyfield sites in the New Territories and of course 65 percent of HK land mass is designated as country park. So it's not a land scarcity issue per se at all
