Beautiful film with a lot of good messages. It really is a matter of perspective. Recently a lot of petitions have been coming up from various groups trying to ban hunting, with much of it aimed at houndsmen. Yet what people need to realize is that hunting has the power to bring people together. There’s also a chance for spiritual healing when you’re out in the woods. It’s films like this that need to be shared to keep the tradition alive.

Beautifully done. I knew nothing about this occupation and culture before watching this video. I learned so much about how the dog-men culture unites people of diverse background through its brotherhood. I could feel the care and love that went into this.

Wow! Beautiful minds, hearts and souls in every single of you majestic human beings. I love everyone including Dogman! They are just as majestic as every life form is. I have a beautiful photo of Dogman that I captured in 2018 at Angeles National Forest. I did not see him through the lens, but, I noticed him in the series of shots I took when I downloaded my photos onto my computer weeks later. He blended in with the forest environment, but, had he moved, I certainly would have seen him. If that had happened, my only hope is that I would have showed love and not fear. My dad grew up a “farm hand” in Ga. Sent to live with a uncle that lived and work on it. He learned to care and work the owners dogs like this, horses also. A passion he passed on to me. This brings back so many memories.

This is hometown. I love it. As a child I remember running on those very red hills. Both my grandparents on both sides of my family, worked on Pebble Hill and Greenwood plantation. My mother's mother was a school teacher on Greenwood plantation and my dad's father played on the Pebble Hill Plantation baseball team.

Nicely done, but wish it would have focused more on the actual dogmen that only had brief exposure in the film. Their story is the fascinating one that needs the focus after having worked mostly in the background for so long. Let them talk more.

Great little film. It’s good to see the thing people love to do. Some people have such a negative view of hunting and dog hunting , this film helps cut through that and shows the beauty of their lives and what they love to do.

It's nice to hear some firsthand positivity flowing from "plantation life". It's easy and obvious to cover the social ills of a past era. I've guided and worked on plantations a little bit. I had not considered this angle, but I'm for anything that helps people reconnect with the land. Most people probably have not experienced a long leaf pine forest or even heard a bobwhite. It's unique. Now, just hearing quail makes me grin a little bit, even when it's on a video.

Great film guys. It really showcases a very “romantic” part of the country with an obviously great group of gentlemen and dogs. Durrell and his wanting to be a cowboy when he grew up - so many of us can relate. Love that you all are living and loving your dream.

Outstanding!!!!! Grew up on a farm in Southeastern NC and my Father raised Pointers and we had eight to ten coveys on our farm that we managed well. Great young man and story teller. I love bird hunting, but would rather see the dogs work anyday. Nothing like seeing a dog lock up and his friends oblidge.

Love this!! I grew up around this my whole childhood. Neal is my first cousin and our grandfather Will Anderson was a Dog Man. So many memories of running around the woods of Sinkola and hearing the dogs barking. Outstanding presentation guys. Keep it coming.

I wish some of these plantations would open up to the houndsmen that chase the very predators that damage your bird population. Bunch of us would love to help with predator control, since many of us competition hunt and don't take many off our smaller private land tract because we hunt for fun. A good place that requires harvesting everything you tree, is a nice place for us to have in the toolbox for working dogs. I imagine it's like quail hunting where just working the dogs, while it's fun to harvest game, you can't just shoot everything, or you won't have a population to hunt. So you can see where having a plantation to hunt where I harvest game that you want gone, is nice since it's not a everyday hunting grounds, so harvesting everything we tree helps everyone.
