the way you broke down the meaning within the word itself was very helpful and I really like how you added that in there. This video helped me understand more about the miosis 1 and miosis 2 phases and how they relate to fertilization of the egg. These types of lectures with the drawing on the glass is my favorite type so far and feels futuristic.

I thought it was interesting how you talked about how the oogonium is asymmetrical while the spermatogonium is symmetrical. This explains why females eventually undergo menopause because of the lack of eggs and estrogen. Great video overall.

I was very confused about oogenesis before watching the video. When I read it in the text book it was hard to picture the division and the Phases. Also I have a better understanding about the difference between spermatogonia.

I did a little digging and read that the purpose of these polar bodies is to serve as "dumping grounds" for extra sets of chromosomes and remove defective ones, which makes sense. Thank you!
