Another Mio video! Okayu doesn't make an appearance in this clip, but she's the focus of the majority of Mio's conversation. Mio is pretty great, and I really like her interactions with Okayu (and everyone, but Okayu is my favorite, so especially her lol). In this clip, she speaks in a lower tone and muses about how it reminds her of Okayu. Expand for translator's notes. 0:03 - Just for clarity, Mio doesn't explicitly mention the 800k subs stream during this part, but it's understood in Japanese that's what she is referring to. Because of that, I added it in so that you can understand what she's talking about without me having to clip extra parts. But yeah, just for the record, technically, she does not say those words here. 0:21 - Regarding the change between "Mio" and "Mion," for those who aren't aware, "Mion" is kind of the playful way people address Mio at times. Okayu has notably thrown "Mion" at the end of her sentences when she does impressions of her from time to time, and it's a general running gag surrounding her. Though it's a playful nickname, people don't usually refer to her by "Mion" like people call Okayu "Okayun." It's more of a joke. 1:12 - Okayu's Mio impression is actually probably one of her most popular impressions, aside from Hatsune Miku and Korone. In fact, Mio used to mix in Okayu's voice in her loading screen to see if anyone would notice that it wasn't her, and both fans of Okayu and Mio had trouble telling which voice belonged to Okayu and which to Mio. There are times where Okayu likes to throw in weird verbal tics when imitating Mio for fun, and during the loli Mio call in stream, Okayu pretended to be "Future Mio," and added "Mion" at the end of almost all of her sentences. 1:19 - Mio has done an Okayu impression before, and Okayu said she likes Mio's impression of her. You can hear it on Okayu's channel during the collab where the members of SMOK (Subaru, Mio, Okayu, Korone) all had to do impressions of each other for an hour. 1:25 - Mio repeats that the chat gets what Okayu means, but she actually says it in a slightly different way. Instead of わかる, she says わかりみ, which is basically a distorted way to say "I get you." I didn't actually translate that joke here, as all I could think of at the time was "you guys know that feel" and that felt unnecessarily too memey compared to how much I felt the original was. 1:33 - For those out of the loop, Tawa (Tawa-chan) is Mio's new kitten. Despite Mio always referring to him as "Tawa-chan," Tawa-chan is male. 1:39 - These days, I feel like everyone uses "tee tee" as is, instead of translating it. But I always feel weird leaving it as is... so while Mio refers to the OkaSuba "tee tee" meet up (which should actually be SubaOka), I just said it was the OkaSuba Death Game (the full, "correct," title would be "SubaOka TeeTee Death Game") for short to avoid the issue altogether. 1:51 - "hellooowl" comes from the "Can you do the hololive?" closed captions, it's how they officially opted to translate "konbanmio," though I took out the "Tis I, Mio" part because it'd feel awkward here. 3:12 - The original Japanese here is just Mio saying "やばいですね、これは" lit: "This is bad, isn't it?" However, as much as people like the word "yabai," it doesn't translate into a single thing all the time. Depending on context, the feeling of the word is different. So here, Mio's basically that "(Me being so out of it) is bad, isn't it?" Normally when you want to express feelings like that in English, you usually just express that you're not really feeling well or something, so I went with "I'm so out of it today." 3:27 - As I noted in a previous note, Okayu likes to add "Mion" to stuff a lot when she imitates Mio. That's probably why saying "Mion" made her remember her conversation with Okayu. 3:35 - The "Sexy Mion Advocates" is actually a pretty close to literal translation, but still not quite. The original Japanese is more like "Sexy Mion Supporting Faction" or something like that. Typically, the use of 派 in cases like this are like splitting fandoms up, like saying "Team X" or "Team Y," or I guess in more modern stuff, "Z stan" or whatever. To give a better example, Subaru's fandom is sometimes considered to be split into people who like duck Subaru, and people who like feminine Subaru. Okayu, by the way, is a supporter of feminine Subaru. Sometimes I wonder if Okayu just wants to see all of her friends be sexy or something. 3:51 - Yeah, I have no idea what Okayu is talking about, at least, not on stream. Maybe she did something off stream? The closest I can think of is that one time Mio did an impression of a vacuum cleaner while "embarrassed." That was... quite something. 4:18 - Okayu actually gave one of her boob mousepads to Mio, claiming it was an item for everyday use, not something lewd at all.

fantastic TL notes! And the vacuum cleaner reaction game may be the closest in recent memory to Mio and lewdness being close together. I like to compare "yabai" to "yikes", as a similar semi-catchall for reacting to something, or when describing something impressive

I live for their relationship. Literally, i love whenever they are together, it makes you think that they are that typical but easy to love duo and it's like man, i don't want anything if I can't have what those two do. I just feel so warm inside when they talk about each other.

Mio could probably do a very good Okayu impression. She has the pacing down and even the laugh is kinda similar.

I'd call this chill Mion, rather than "sexy", but hey, I get the point.
