I used only shotgun. It's a very effective skill of hers, pushing enemies back and letting you "moegolf" them as much as you want. Basically Moemura is the same Homura, just animated differently. Imagine "moegolf" as bazooka, and shotgun as lmg. The same stopping power, but different art. Kinda smart, I must say. It's too sad that Homura Combat doesn't have powerful shotguns...

AyaFubuMi is hololive's first official unit, and they had a huge surge of songs in 2022. They also showed up in a few concerts as guests, and three of them get along well to boot. With a bit of a lull in activity, the three of them decided to get together and discuss their plans for the future as unit. I hope it releases soon lol. Also as a note, Keina Suda is the composer for songs like Charles, and is also known as the vocaloid composer BalloonP. Ironically, Mio's singing is what made me commit to her as a full-time MioFa. She was singing 24 songs to celebrate 240,000 subs, and it was the first stream I enjoyed start to finish. Her voice is one of the reasons I will keep coming back to Mio's streams!

Some other people wondered if Mio would go this far if the hostage was someone like Subaru instead. Unfortunately she didn't comment on those comments but they were fun to see in chat. Speaking of the chat's reactions, they laughed pretty hard at the fact that Mio would go all in if she was forced to do it, as if she really would have fun with it in the end. 1:18 - The word Mio has been using throughout the clip is 主催 (lit: organizer, host). I opted to translate it as "mastermind" a couple of times, because being the organizer/host of a death game usually makes you the "mastermind" or even "puppet master" behind the scenes. I thought it also fit well with the meme Mio is known for in Japanese too.

I cut out those portions to skip to where she's talking and stuff, so I apologize if any of the cuts seem awkward. The video would be closer to 9 minutes long if I didn't do this. 0:03 - For additional context, Mio was talking about how playing Dorfromantik gave her this feeling of "running along the plains." Then she talked about not having a lot of memories doing that, since she grew up in the mountainous countryside, which is what led to the talk about getting dog food from an old man when she went out on walks. 1:14 - A big thing to point out is that throughout this clip, Mio says "犬科", which is literally "canine" or "canidae." This is the only instance where I translate it as such. For the rest of the clip, if Mio doesn't specifically say "dog food" or "dog ears," you can assume she originally said "canine," but I chose to translate most of these into "dog" instead. The reason for that is because I feel that when people speak English, they rarely ever use the term "canine" or "canidae" outside of taxonomy discussions, and that when people want to describe anything "dog-like," they usually just call it a dog. Similarly, we don't usually call lions and tigers "felines," we usually call them cats, even though technically feline is probably more accurate. Like if you saw a Pokemon and weren't sure what it was, you'd probably ask if it was a cat or a dog, not a feline or canine. Essentially, I opted to keep Mio's dialogue feeling natural to an English speaker over being technically correct because I felt like her saying "You might actually be a canine!" sounds weird compared to "You might actually be a dog!" after talking about eating dog food. 2:17 - The original joke here is that Mio goes from saying 人生 (jinsei, which uses the kanji for "person" + "life" to refer to a person's life) to 犬生 (inusei, changing the kanji for person to the kanji for dog, but leaving the "life" kanji alone). 3:05 - I don't know if Mio is making a reference to the movie or not, but the question of whether or not someone who is a dog-human hybrid should go to the hospital reminds me of the scene from "Wolf Children" where the MC wonders if she should take her half-wolf half-human kids to the doctor or the vet or keep them a secret. 3:52 - If you aren't already aware, there was a stream where Subaru was wondering what the appeal of certain popular things in otaku culture were. One of the topics was "why do people like animal ears on people?" and a person in her chat said that "People with animal ears are great because they don't have human rights, so you can do whatever you want to them." Subaru read this comment out loud, and while they weren't actually her words, her chat teased her about reading such a comment out loud. To further drive the joke in, she had guests for that stream, and all of her guests were people with animal ears (Okayu, Mio, and Koyori), who all teased Subaru about the human rights thing. Because of that, the hololive community (or at least the JP one), basically has a running gag about whether or not characters with animal ears have human rights. The translation I chose here isn't as direct as it could be, but I altered it specifically so that you can understand what Mio is talking about even if you hadn't seen Subaru's verbal gaffe (and then if you ended up wondering why human rights were even a factor, you could find out here lol). Incidentally, the phrase 人権 (jinken, human rights) is also sometimes used as Japanese slang to refer to incredibly overpowered stuff in video games. Essentially, something could be so broken that without them, it feels like you don't even have something as basic as human rights.

Imo the reason why Holostars dont often go on off collabs is surprisingly because they all have bonded deeply with each other already.

Fubuki often appears as a guest on Arurundeisu's drinking streams where they chat about all sorts of topics.The main focus of the stream was actually Fubuki giving her impressions of what each holostar member is like, vs. Arurun revealing what they're really like. It's a fun stream, but clipping all the impressions would lead to like... a 30 minute video or so lol. Some viewers think that the hololive members are co-workers first and foremost, and friends second. While I do think there is a bit of truth to them being particularly friendly because they're in the same company together, the sheer amount of stories you can hear about members hanging out together makes it hard to believe they're "just friends at work" and work alone. To be honest, it's all camping to me, and nobody ever used the word "glamping" when I grew up. It kinda just feels like a gatekeepy word to separate some people from "real campers" lol. Anyway, the word exists, and it is an English word that's real, so I left it as is. 1:59 - A reference to this (kzbin.info/www/bejne/o33VlHSVgd54esk) stream. Fubuki, Mio, Towa, Subaru and Okayu all went on a trip to Izu together. They went to the zoo there, hiked up a mountain, and various other things. It's a pretty fun stream too. 2:29 - Fubuki in particular loves giving reports about what members are up to whenever she gets a chance to hang out with them off-stream. One example of Fubuki giving this kind of report is telling people that Okayu was wearing a skirt when they went to Izu together. For people who don't watch Okayu much, they might think she's kind of a tomboy, so her wearing a skirt has that kind of gap moe appeal. That said, people who do watch Okayu often know she actually prefers wearing skirts, and has for over a year. Plus she's always been pretty girly on stream. 2:32 - First off, the original word used instead of "embarrassing" was the phrase "営業妨害," which means to interfere with someone's work. In vtuber stuff, or at least hololive stuff, it's often used as a joke to refer to when people reveal sides of each other that kind of "break character." Like if someone is trying to act cool and stuff, someone might reveal how they love cute little animals or whatever, and that can be considered "営業妨害." Though not part of this clip, earlier in the stream, Arurun brought up how they had collabed with Matsuri earlier (kzbin.info/www/bejne/mGWUaWiVq7mlptE). Matsuri was supposed to be a guest but she showed up really late (half an hour into the stream) since she overslept. After that collab had ended, she contacted Aruran directly and apologized sincerely profusely for being late to the stream. The two of them poked fun at her, saying that though she may act like she doesn't give a crap about things on streams at times, she's a person who really takes her job seriously and honestly does feel bad if she wastes others people's time. In contrast to her seemingly devil-may-care appearance, Matsuri is actually a really considerate person. Also to note, this is only really an unexpected side of Matsuri if you don't watch her that much. People who have stuck with her a while know she's got a lot of these more serious, sincere moments where you can see beyond her usual antics (though those antics are definitely part of her too). 3:53 - The original Japanese that Arurun uses is "キャピキャピ," which literally would translate to being in high spirits and brimming with energy. Since the full thing he says is "キャピキャピフレンド感" (lit: high spirited friendly feeling), I localized it to "friendly schmendly," to match the feel of it being a sort of exaggerated friendly feel. 5:52 - Arurun actually isn't referring to the game "Taboo" here. In Japanese, he mentions "たけのこニョッキゲーム" (The Takenoko Nyokki Game). This is an extremely Japanese-specific type game that I thought would be better to localize because it'd otherwise require a giant translator's note in the middle of the subs, something I prefer to avoid because I think it interferes with the viewing experience. Anyway, it's a Japanese game where each player takes turns calling out a number + the word nyokki. Each time a player calls out a number, they have to raise their arms like a bamboo shoot (which is what takenoko translates to). If you overlap with someone else, or if you're the last one to make a call, you lose and are out. So when a round starts, someone has to start with "1 nyokki," but it's easy to overlap with someone at the beginning because nobody knows how long to wait just yet, while everything after that is a matter of reaction speed. Because the main point of comparison is a game where speaking up carries risk, I chose to use the game "Taboo" as a, hopefully, easier to understand game for English viewers.
