As someone from Scotland, one of the biggest irks we have is foreign people coming in and buying up our very limited land for overseas profits. The founder is from Hong Kong, most of the staff don't even live here, most of the donations don't go towards anything that benefits us, so they just come here and buy up all this land for the project, make millions from our land and a misrepresentation of our title laws, and then it gets deposited into overseas economies.

@@a64738 Its the sponsor's duty to make it absolutely clear to the marketer (or whatever word best suits) what their product is, since they are the one paying for advertisement. When so many channels misunderstood the product, there is plenty of evidence to lean that the sponsor did not provide adequate information. On the flip side, you could say it was oompa's negligence, since he can choose what to promote; but based on the number of confused channels, that negligence falls onto the sponsor. On their actual advertisements, they don't mention the product being a novelty or planting trees. People aren't going to read the fine print. Plenty of cases like this that have ultimately landed liability on the business creating the product.

@@carpo719 No its not. Its up to the sponsor to make it clear to the marketer what they are selling. If you need to read the fine print, then that is misleading. Redbull is a great example. KZbinrs need to be careful calling them a scam and everything. It's really not, it's just worded carefully. If you read their website/TOS it's clear they don't lie about any of what they do. Just because a customer doesn't read the TOS doesn't mean it's a scam. TOS is your contract, If you couldn't be bothered to read your contract and accepted it anyway, that's on you. A few years ago, I went to see a doctor that was part of a health system that included my local hospital. I had to fill out paperwork and was grumbling about it, so when I got to the part where it asked for Title, like Mr., Mrs., etc. I wrote Lord. I didn't think anything of it and turned the paper in. A while later, maybe a year, long after I had forgotten, I ended up in the hospital. One of the doctors came to see me in my room and he said, "It says here your title is Lord, is this true?". I laughed and told him what I had done, he looked almost disappointed. It was so weird.

Turns out, if only just 1 person had read the Terms of service of established titles, it would have been brought to light, but NO ONE did.
