Did this in a band in the Seventies on Cape Cod. We had a harp player, but no piano!

Ah, the Shaboo Inn. Hip place. Had to be careful with the weed. 😅I’m editing this because I was wondering if The Shaboo Inn still existed. Sadly, it closed in 1982. It burned down the same year due to arson.

Saw James and Jimmy Cotton in Deerfield, MA in 1975. This tune was always a favorite of mine.

Where in Deerfield? Don't know of any venues there. Greenfield, yes, North Athol, absolutely.

@@ksklaus Hi Ken: I don't remember the name of the place, but it was a bar and not a typical concert venue like you'd probably see today. A girlfriend and I were both college students at Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield, and saw the show listed on a bulletin board. I remember that the building was narrow, and when you walked in the main entrance, there was a bar to the right. At the far end of the room was a stage about 2-feet high with a small dance floor in front. Then there were a bunch of small 2 seat tables where we sat. Jimmy Cotton was the main act, and James Montgomery Band was the warm up band. At the time I was an amplified blues harmonica nut who was familiar with the great blues harmonica players like Cotton, and knew Cotton was a protege of Sonny Boy Williamson, who was my favorite. During the break I went up to Cotton and was telling him how much I loved his music when this young drunk guy butted into the conversation and was telling Jimmy how he and some buddies were going to get together a bad-ass blues band. Jimmy looked at him and said: "You gotta get the man together first." The kid said "Huh?", and Jimmy repeated his reply. The kid just walked away. I had quite a chuckle over that.
