In regard to capacity, TELL YOUR PEOPLE THE TRUTH WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE THE CAPACITY! lol this will help so much. it was hard for me to do it at first, but like a muscle, once you flex it repeatedly, it gets stronger. People that love you may not understand initially, BUT (they will, and...) they love you and want what's best ultimately, even if it doesn't serve them.

Shalom Shalom. I enjoy your videos. I like your room makeover. I too like the warm richness of the wood oppose to the white headboard. They are both neutral but the wood ties all the colors together and breaks up the neutral in the white headboard and the floor. No matter what it’s your room and you have to live in it. Hey Jess!!!!!! First, I really enjoy watching your vlogs. It's really beautiful seeing the love you have for your husband. Everytime you see him, you are smiling ear to ear, it truly shows how happy he makes you. I came to say that I also struggle with people pleasing and recently I've experienced feeling like I don't have the capacity to be there for everyone. People were texting and calling, and I was feeling so overwhelmed I didn't know what to do. But, I think it's okay to let your friends know that you don't have the capacity in the moment to go to lunch or to hangout. Your friends know how much you have going on and I'm sure they would understand if you just needed a you day. The Lord is your strength, He will help you know what things you can say no to and what things you can say yes to. It is a process. I really appreciate how open you are about your life :) (Sorry you had to read my essay 😭🤣) Sincerely, Emanie

Love the vlog per usual ☺️ That Word of the week 🙌🏾 is so real. We truly have more than we could ever deserve by simply being saved 🙏🏾 And as someone who has also been blessed with a lot of friends, and newly married something that I think could be helpful is having your set days in the week your open to interacting/hanging out, having a max amount of serving opportunities your sacrificially saying yes to and having a rest day. So each week you already know you’ll be resting Tuesday for example, willing to serve these 2 times a week, and open to hanging out Saturdays and Wednesdays for example. It’s sooo helpful! You’re able to have a more predictable week, and if a friend asks to hang on Tuesday, you say, I’d love to hang, I’m free Wednesday or Saturday. Creating healthy boundaries so that you don’t start to dread those, “you free” text? In my experience, my friends are more than understanding! 🫶🏾❤️

I used to be a past people pleaser.. However, once I started therapy it helped me see my life differently as a whole replacing bad habits with good ones, knowing & understanding what works for me & what does not. It is a process when I started incorporating more balance to my life. If you say no & someone gets mad/upset than it was not meant to be. People will start showing you their true colors, it could be bad/good. Yes, it can hurt at first, but it is not you it is them. Then you can start taking into account who is real/not. Also, you don't have to let them know what you are doing or break off any relationships, just keep it respectful, mature & cordial, this is for you. Now that I have a better understanding of who I am & what I deserve & do not, I am more confident with setting healthy boundaries. It is not going to happen over night, but give yourself patience, grace & love. ♥️🙏🏽 (p.s. I love the Bloopers/deleted scenes..😂)

Shalom Jess! I use to struggle with being a people pleaser and what I learned was setting boundaries and limits for how many things I add into my schedule whether I had things to do or not. Sometimes being selfish is a good thing because if you're not ok, then how can you be ok to do anything? If someone told me they didn't have the capacity to do something with me, I would feel like maybe now just is not the right time and that they have their reasons on saying no. Love the home projects and this vlog!!😁 No the vlog is not boring and the deleted scenes were funny lol
