Yep, thats true. In the manga, the 3 Lights are really girls in disguise as guys so they can find their princess. In the anime, they decided to make them turn into guys. I heard Naoko didn't like what they did to them, but it might just be a rumor.

Seyia is a girl. She Taikai, and Yaten anly turned male( in the animie) Because three girls singing for the love of another girl is wierd. In the magna they just dressed as boys. But in both cases, since Seyia is a girl, she is a lesbian.
