Do you have any pictures of how/where you mounted your camera on your helmet? I've been using GoPros for a while, but usually mount them somewhere in the interior, because the side helmet mounting being off center really bothers me haha. But your POV looks perfect!

@o_OS20008 жыл бұрын
+Casey Lockwood Thanks. I have to say you are the only person to every properly guess the camera setup. In front of most with lens of camera basically at eye level. I just use a GoPro Hero 3 with the head strap, but remove the top strap to make it easy to attach to the helmet and get the POV angle.

+o_O This really is true. If you drive a Miata alone, it's fun. I went from my S2000 to my gf's Miata and I could tell it would be fun if it had a bit more power, but yeah. S2K for sure.

Love your videos man! I have an AP1 and was wondering what your mods are. Is there anything this track requires you to have like a roll cage? (doesn't look like you have one) I live in the south bay, maybe ill see you on hwy9 or skyline one day, though probably not for long since you're fast as fuck on the touge ;)

+Sean MacDonald Ohlins DFV with custom spring rate, and just upgraded to a new Ohlins DFV setup with custom valving for stiffer springs.
@_SeanM8 жыл бұрын
+o_O S2000 was the before or after this video? Because to me it looks the your rebound is lacking a little (hence your tail-sliding on the off-camber parts and on the rumble strips) and since Ohlins are double digressive piston shocks, you may just want to stiffen it all around, extra compression (esp in the rear) couldn't hurt to mitigate corner exit under steer, esp on the last one heading into the straight
@o_OS20008 жыл бұрын
+Sean MacDonald After. It isn't. I know you mean well but trying to assess dampers from watching a video is just not worthwhile. It is way more complicated than just dampers. I don't really follow the logic behind your suggestions either. I am definitely not getting any corner exit understeer. Appreciate it but not really looking for any setup advice.

You're a good driver, but you lack a little finesse under braking, on the flip side it's given you good throttle control to compensate. You probably wouldn't have to use so much steering angle if you came into the curve a little more gently a hair bit slower, and you could use your exceptional throttle control to just guide the chassis through the turn. I know it seems counter intuitive, but trust me I see like 2.5 seconds you could have shaved off your fastest lap. Keep at it, I enjoy your videos :)
@o_OS20008 жыл бұрын
+Rolando Tillit I completely agree actually. I have some habits that are quick in the mountains but less helpful on the track so I always have to adjust. I agree that there is a good 2 seconds or so and a friend of mine in a similar car and setup has indeed done something similar. Really I need some more seat time at this track, there is always so much to learn with more time at a particular track. Looking forward to getting back to Sonoma to see what the car can do.

What is with the shadiness on the camera info man? its obviously is a go pro, given all the comments in other videos. I can understand not wanting to share your car setup info, but camera info and settings? You deleted previous info on that?? Jesus, you don't respond to anything. You can drive for sure and your videos are cool, but if you want true fans and followers, you could be a little more personal and helpful. Do you think some ones gonna duplicate your exact videos because we know what camera you use??
@o_OS20008 жыл бұрын
+Brad A. All of my previous replies were deleted because I transferred this channel to a new Google account so all those comments were deleted unfortunately. You posted a comment 24hrs ago that I haven't yet responded to. Be cool Yolanda be cool. I use a GoPro Hero3, mounted to the front of my helmet using a head strap. +o_O S2000 Cool Man I appreciate it! I saw other comments you had made on random topics, but none on that, it just looked that way i guess. My bad. Keep up the good work. Ive watched most of your vids already, I just like the camera quality. Your driving is awesome! So is the Car! Thanks again.
@o_OS20008 жыл бұрын
+Brad A. All good. Trust me I was a bit annoyed when I realized all my old responses had been removed. But I needed to transfer to a new account for other reason. I do film/vfx for a living so I definitely know what I am doing when it comes to color correction and getting the best out of the footage. All my footage (especially the stuff shot at night) goes through a pretty specific color correction process. What comes out of the camera looks much different than what I get after correction. Hard to really share all the specifics but there are a lot of little tricks to get the best out of the footage.

+o_O S2000 I totally understand. I am just shopping for a good camera that i can use for everything.Your editing skill are awesome. This is some of the best s2k footage I've seen. I have an Ap1 03 myself, so im always looking for new s2k vids, parts etc. I know you cant comment or respond on everything, but I appreciate you getting back with me. Im subscribed and will be checking out future videos!
