This is interesting. I play as GM only. Are you saying that the manager's teach catching/infield/outfield are not used at all? Neither for improving those skills nor for making in-game or lineup decisions? Also, whose development/influences mechanics matter for hitting and pitching? The pitching/hitting coach or the manager's?

Bench coach is very similar to manager except they help out with the staff roles and aren't as big of an influence with their other ratings.
