This is sick! I wanna get into more creative things such as beat making. As a beginner what is the best thing to play with and keep in my backpack with macbook? I goto med school right now and need a way to exhaust my creativity. Been painting, taking pics, listening to vinyls(MF DOOM- mmmmfood, Madvillany, and Sadevillan), and even picked up finger boarding. Sadly I haven't gotten to skate for a long while and feel like I'm losing it.

Thanks! Fellow fingerboarder here too :) I 100% recommend the OP-Z for this purpose. There is nothing that gets me making music quicker that it and it’s super portable. Also good to combine with a MacBook, if you want to have access to more sounds!

Yeah…Reverb, chorus, ping pong delay (using an lfo) and lfo on pan.
