I really like to see a failed run in between. It gives the audience a special feeling of rethinking of the choices were made and how it leads to failure. Also its quite entertaining, that not every run is a winning run.

The intro just KEPT GOING LMAO Edit: I'm surprised the losses perform worse in all honesty. How would someone know the run was a loss until the end unless they spoiled it for themselves? I like your solution of slipping a little loss in the beginning!

Or because people spoil in the comments
@IkEisawesome7 Жыл бұрын
@@jmoolah3691 You can actively just not look at the comments. That is a choice you make. I try to avoid spoilers in my comments because I get people check, but everyone knows the comments will have spoilers
@rli1618 Жыл бұрын
That’s an active decision though, and I like reading comments when e.g. an ad is playing, so breaking that part of my flow is not something I want to do. In terms of view count I’m not surprised they do worse, when watching these videos I hope to relax and watch a simple winning Slay the Spire victory with good vibes, and a loss is not that. Hope some losses still get posted because some people clearly want them even if their stats are worse, but personally will probably not watch and stick to simple, relaxing and winning runs.
@IkEisawesome7 Жыл бұрын
@@rli1618 How would a loss get less views though. It isn't like "I lost!" is in the beginning. You'd have to watch the video and contribute to the views. And I also think it's odd to critique something that you're actively doing. Spoilers exist in every run
@rli1618 Жыл бұрын
@@IkEisawesome7 yeah, I spoil myself for every run and I honestly don’t mind that at all-it’s part of my routine with Baalor’s videos. So changing this routine to *not* reading comments so I don’t get spoiled would be an active decision that I don’t see any point in doing (for me personally, of course). With Baalor’s videos, I’m not looking for tension of whether or not he will succeed, I’m looking to turn my brain off to get ready to sleep. With losses, I would see spoilers in the comments and then as a result find a different run to better turn my brain off in. Obviously don’t think everyone uses Baalor’s videos like this, but that’s my two cents on a potential reason as to why losses do worse (and other people will have other reasons).

Absolutely adore how you tried putting the lost run in the beginning of the video, in the same video where baalor talks to chat about it - also loved the addition of it, i was thinking even to the last second "ah he always wins what insane trick will he pull off now" and i was so flabbergasted when he actually lost

Probably too late to have this comment seen by anyone, but here's an idea to address the Failed Run video concept (because obviously view count is really important). Suggestion would be to assemble several failed runs into a single video (each run could be edited down for brevity), and then Baalorlord could add post commentary explaining what went wrong and what lessons can be learned here. That would be a video that would be both entertaining and educational!

A suggestion for the videos: I feel like if in the end you show which card you have done with the character and which ones are missing it would be nice, both for those who watch all the videos and so see the progress and for those who see only some of them that could go back and search the run in which you had a double copy of one of their favorite cards

My favorite part about this deck is that it looks a lot like the first deck I’ve ever won StS with. Poison and thorns carrying me with a million block cards. I love that it’s still a good strategy even after the last patch and at A20.

When you took that third elite, I was just thinking that I would 100% die in that scenario, so glad I'm not crazy, ha. It's actually fun to see the failed runs since 90%+ of my own runs are failed.
@TheFearChannel Жыл бұрын
Adding the failed run to the beginning of a successful run I think is the right balance. It puts your play style into perspective. Your KZbin editor will have to deal with the compromise. It's just as informative to see the kinds of risks you take that don't always pan out. Never punished or always punished, amirite.

Wow what a start to the video. That loss shocked me, I thought that was going to end up being some miracle forcing those last 2 elites in the first run.

Interesting that this seemed almost a 'standard' poison run. Just a couple of deadlys and a crippling cloud, with block + dex to hold off the enemies. But all the disco pieces fitting together so well to propel it to victory!
