Fair comments but would you be enticed to purchase a Canon with overheating issues? It very unfair that when Canon brings out these products with major problems or Fuji repackages same old technology into different configurations and calls them a new camera, no one is critical

almost all the mirrorless camera have overheating problems, including the nikon z cameras. I agree Canon did a terrible job with how they manage heat but I can say that for most brands

I will put the case of my nephew, I'm a nikon user and have invest on lenses for 16 years, i have legacy of lenses if I sell I will get probably 40% so I will stay, my nephew likes video and still but canon is too expensive if he want to go mirrorless (he sold a 6i) so he bought my z6 with ftz a 16-35mm f4 and 32gb xqd for $2k a pretty good used deal that canon equivalent would be over $4k, I think nikon is a good affordable option compared with sony and canon, probably you are seen this as pro, you might have the budget and expertise to make money but for medium level I can't see how nikon is not a good option

you can get a used Canon R for about 1.5k and 24-105 f4 used for about 900. it puts you at 2.4k used priced. That is pretty close

Can I assume the majority of Nikon user are doing still photography?

Their 'normal' business model still puts them in third place behind Canon and Sony; and they are quickly falling further and further behind. Clearly this strategy is based on Nikon's precarious financial situation. The new models reflect no serious R&D investment. Nikon does not have the money to do so and therefore will not keep up with the likes of Canon and Sony. Anyone investing in this system must know this and understand what it means. Nikon has no real future in still photography.
