OH monk 9 / thief 3 is top 5 build in the game but 4 elements hold person + flurry of blows goes brrrrr And then you can drop a fire ball and do a backflip

This class would be stronger I think if the level cap was higher. Idk when they learn the fourth element but I’ll look it up. Awesome guide as well man! Loving how creative your videos have gotten

Thanks! Few people have dabbled into Way of the Four Elements and it's a lot of fun with a ton of room for creativity. I respecced Karlach for this and the results were great

i love way of the four elements the visuals and their attacks are always really clean and cool to look at, in my opinion it's the most fun sub class of monk but it's also sadly the weakest cuz your abilities are very Ki hungry and when you are out of Ki you're simply deal way less damage

If they just reduced the ki cost of all the spells by 1, it'd be perfect. How they can compare a cantrip to a flurry of blows, which both cost 1 ki, is beyond me. Also it's crazy to me how Open Hand gets such a powerful ki restoration/heal/extra bonus action ability, when the most ki hungry subclass gets a comparatively awful option. I love four elements, but the early game is really rough for it lol.

Feel free to! BG3 can be beat by any class. We don’t get lightning spells really so it might be a bit lacklustre compared to storm sorcerer with tempest cleric Also heavy armor removes the extra mobility monks get

@@JasonDunna Have you made a Monk Bard build? Like they played in taverns across Faerun and kept getting into bar fights…I don’t know, you’re the creator I’m sure you have way better ideas to make the story work 😅. 6-7 shadow/flurry of blows monk with 5-6 swords bard?

I hate that this class is so bad in 5e because it's so cool. When I first saw it, I thought it's like magus from Pathfinder, but then I saw what the "spells" actually do and got depressed. There is item support for it in BG3, but the best you could do is stack acuity with bonus actions and then cast hold person (or more realistically, cast decent spells from scrolls), unfortunately. There is no reason other than flavor/RP to pick this over Eldritch knight, EK does everything this subclass does, only it does it in heavy armor, does it from range, has more spell diversity and can multi with wizard. And if you want to punch things, there is OH monk, though that class is so strong it makes the game boring.

Love your vids i love the four ways monk the best and i know it not the strongest but 9 monk and and three wizard with the headband is really good with with hold person and can learn the best level two spells and magic missile 😂😂😂😂

Hey it doesn’t need to be the strongest build ever!! As long as it’s fun. Legit any class can beat BG3 so! I like getting the extra Ki points, you can use the ne’er missed to cast magic missile too!

Hi, would you do a testing for me? I know hex add double 1d6 (so it's 2d6) dmg from fangs fire snake. I was wondering, how does it work on symbiotic entity (spore druid)? Does it add 2d6 necro dmg too?

You cant get hold person with just level 1 spell slots.

@@JasonDunna at level 12 he mentions picking wizard multiclass and then mentions getting hold person with it. But you cant get hold person with 11 monk/1 wizard because you only have level 1 spell slots.

Why use Tavern Brawler if you have 8 STR? you don't have any STR modifiers to add, right?

The build looks pretty cool, but should I take another feat as I didn't buy any str elixir?
