Both animes have own flavors and while in Kancolle you can see ONLY shipgirls in Azur Lane you can see their real life representations as well, however, when comes to AL I'm not quite on board (pun not intended) with how they depicted, for example, Nagato class (really AL?, one of the BIG SEVEN is a loli?). Yes, I do realize that this depiction might have kind of historical background considering how Nagato was in fact saved from scrapyard but why not go in similar to Kancolle route with her as "protector of the destroyers" (and good future counter for Arky- chan shenanigans 😅). Anyway, it's little sad that they took so long break with Azure Lane, but who known?, maybe they use this break to introduce Yamato at the Sakura Empire side as the savior from Oroichi (poor Kaga apparently had no idea what she unleashed) and potential Iron Blood attack on the Empire?
