For those of you who are watching but have not done it yet, the catheter and the bag are a minor annoyance . I you need to go out, just put your bag in a shopping bag....no one will notice or care. NOW, for the thing that we were all REALLY concerned with, catheter removal. When I went in after seven days to have mine removed, two of my doctor's EXCELLENT nurses performed the ceremony. First of all, forget about all dignity and modesty when you enter a building that has UROLOGY on the front. My two nurses were as courteous and respectful of my dignity as they could be; however, ya gotta do what you gotta do. Just go in sit down and do what they tell you. The prep to make sure the bladder and ureter were working ok took a couple of minutes and involved them flowing saline INTO my bladder and back out again. Not uncomfortable at all. Second, when that's all working they removed the catheter for me, it felt wonderful. No discomfort at all, just very very happy to get it done. Don't get nervous or apprehensive; you'll be fine. Had mine done in Oct of 22 and everything is fine. Doctors at Urology Associates in San Antonio did a first rate job.

Thanks for taking the time to record your experience, it is helpful to read and learn. Just wondering, it sounds like you never replaced the large bag with the walking bag, is this accurate?

Had one for two weeks - I referred to it as my pee purse. My paramedic friends loved the new name.

Yeah, poor Mr Smith has somehow had his penis transplanted with a vagina. Either that or for some strange reason there are no male dolls. Might be an idea to get one if your video is about Prostatectomy.
