While listening to the first story i was reading the comments. By the time the story ended I was left wondering if we all heard the same story. Doormat? When? Dude summarily to her to f off. I was thinking, because of the comments, that they go back together. Did they just listen to the first part before commenting? Because I can't see how they come to that conclusion! Wow. Just... Wow!

@@janemba42 that doesn't mean he's a doormat. It means he's respectful of others' opinions and values them. Had he done what needed to be done without consulting anyone involved, you would be singing a different turn. "He's an a$$hole for ignoring his daughter's feelings." "He's controlling and we're probably getting half of the story." Guy does the right thing and not make rash decisions that would affect his daughter in the long run and he's a doormat? I understand that OP still loves Lucy despite what she put him through. Good on OP for understanding he needs to protect himself and his daughter and standing up to Lucy. Lucy needs to understand she will never take back what she did.

Story 1: *isn't this the story which was updated recently where he went on a few dates with his ex and started dating again or is that another one* So let me get this straight. The second OP, was basically emotionally abused and ignored by his whole family because he was a accidental pregnancy. They say its because he was a easy kid to ignore. When he finally snaps they are confused. He comes back and they say just "sorry" And the OP who was self sufficient at that point didn't move out to a friends house till collage and cut his family off as they shouldn't even be called a family with how he qas treated... but instead just decided... I can give them a second chance to try. Did they ever give OP a second chance at being a member of the family? Nope. For 16 years they all but abandoned him in their own home and then said they were sorry... I lost some respect for OP giving them a second chance I won't lie. They don't deserve it.

In the story where OP is being "neglected" by his family is just wow. You SHOW them you don't need them and when they come to you and apologize you ignore them and prove them right. It's like you want to keep being the victim. So many people nowadays keep playing victim...
@REYCER09 ай бұрын
man he didnt start being self sufficient at 15, if youre being neglected then the only option is to be self sufficient, and just because a child isnt dead doesn´t mean they did even decent job as parents, and they didnt even apologize they basically said we didnt want to be near you but you where still alive so it all seemed good.
@dessic61919 ай бұрын
@@REYCER0 there are 2 sides to every story. This was his and he stated theirs. None of them are wrong to feel the way they did. OP became the AH when they apologized and wanted to right their wrong by ignoring the effort, making it seem like a loss cause, and doesn't give them the chance. It's like he doesn't want them in his life after crying about how much he did. It's 100% a continuation of playing the victim.

@@dessic6191 man that happened in less than 24h from the look of things and he just had all those years bottled up and exploded, you can´t just recover from that in so littlel time, if he did, did he even feel bad at all? forgivness is a process, if you can forgive something so soon it was just a mildly inconvenient, let people grieve, its a slow process, and even more, apologies aren´t (or shouldn´t be) words, its actions, and that also takes time, affort and concistency, if that family dinamic is to heal, it needs time, lots of it.
