you could also switch out conis for aisa its still a 1 cost 2k counter but has a playable ability of looking at top life

Upper yard only allows you to add 1 sky island not anything thats sky island correct?

Upper Yard allows you to add ANY card that has "Sky Island" in its type. It searches more than 90% of the deck. However, if you play 5c Wyper, bottomdecking Upper Yard to search using Wyper's ability, that search specifically looks for "Shandian Warrior" cards.

If you add raigo you can use the strategy that allows you to kill an opponent character and at the same time play kalgara at the cost of a life and then you take it back the next turn with noland

But then you have 2 lives left😅, maybe considering that in the third turn your opponent has put a strong character, you take him down at the cost of maybe 2/3 lives that if you play well you can keep and win

Raigo cost 6, noland 5, and you should have a kalgara alteady in play

Oh geez! I didn't even realize Ace is nearly 10 dollars now. The best replacement would be 4-cost Rush Katakuri. He comes in the Big Mom Starter Deck and is only $2 on TCGPlayer.com at the moment. He allows you to check your life or your opponent's life, which is cool. And then he gains Rush if you have less life than the opponent - which should be the case early on - so I'd say he's a good replacement!

@@andrewkarki3845 gonna be honest, i dont like this decklist...u could try cards like el thor, blaze slice, it you who should dissapear, franky egghead, yellow capone, the rush katakuri or yellow cracker

Honestly I considered Raki, she's finally a decent card now with this leader. Still, I'd honestly just rather have the 2k counters in hand. So many times when playing this deck you can just bait your opponent into swinging all-in at life, and then you casually counter of 15k, and just win the next turn lol. So since it's working so well already, I feel I don't need Raki personally

Are you sure this deck lives on low life? Kalgaras effect makes you take from your own life correct? So you would still let your opponent swing on your life successfully a couple times?

Yes, you definitely want to let your opponent swing at your life successfully one or two times. That way, by Turn 3, your Ohm's buff is live and your Ace's Rush is live. After that, it's more of a case-by-case decision whether or not to take life

I would much rather swing multiple times with my units that are currently on board, spend 5 Don on Noland to heal, and then leave a Don or two up for counter events. If you really wanted 10c Ace, I wouldn't put more than two. But honestly, A lot of Kalgara games are won before you even hit 10 Don, so yeah, I probably wouldn't bother

I play 2 gedatsu.. gedatsu is early playing card in nature but gives you a good head start against the worst matchups: Lucci, Bonney, Zoro. Any decks that wants to play early 4 costs that sticks like Kuzan, Urouge, Chopper. You need to concider it

Hm. That's fair. I think it's a very specific meta call that will definitely help in some matches, but overall Gedatsu is a little counter-intuitive to the playstyle of the deck.

El Thor not needed tbh, and not as searchable as Earth Will Not Lose, and has no bonus search effect. Also in some matchups, like against Blue Doffy, you do need to go for board clear. If you're busy clearing board, you're not touching their life as much, so El Thor is not even live

@@WillofDDT I play both currently, as it is still searchable with Shura and having the possibility to defend yourself and your pieces more in the late game has been very helpful

2-3 copies of El thor + earth will not loose in my hand are my win condition in the end game when the opponent wants to go all in but cant. Edit: but I guess there are different ways to play kalgara. The version in the video with 4 additional 2ks is good for successfully defending your own board

@@jdx478 Exactly, I guess whether you go El Thor or whether you go extra 2k's, it works about the same. I can't tell you how many times I've baited my opponent into going 15k for game and have casually countered out of it with 1 event and 4-5 2k's lol, and then you just guarantee win on the clapback.
