Yo!Yo. Civic oem radiators work perfectly for those tiny card. I restored an MGB a few years ago popped in a civic half rad and boom never over heats even hear in hot at Texas

Cinematics are fun to make! I find it hurts the video because people click off usually or skip the cinematic anyways, maybe it's because I don't have a fanbase as large as Robbies that it hurts my channel more but if I could have it my way every video would have at least one solid cinematic 😄

OK, I had to click on this video because we NEVER saw these things on the road when I was a kid growing up in the seventies. I've only known of one person that had one. The engine and transmission in these things look like they came out of a lawn tractor. Pretty cool that you're restoring it.

Im not sure but i think the carburator has a water controlled choke. Some of these Opels have a hose Running from the rad to the side of the carburator and back. Inside that part on the carburator is a bimetal that controls the choke by the heat of the coolant water. You should check if you have that or not ;)

Well the Ray Manta is a really cool car. Be careful with the distributor, I'm not familiar with old Opels but with Ladas you can put it in twisted is 180 degrees and that way setting the ignition timing is really huge pain in the ass because of that 180 degrees. With that vacuum drum it looks really similar.

These Opel engines are CIH type and they fit bolt to bolt from 1.6l -2.4l and they you have 6 ciilinder options. A friend of mine teases me that I should put a v8 in mine :D

I’m 16 and have a 1966 international harvester. It’s a fairly uncommon truck, and I related completly to just about everything in this lol. It is IMPOSSIBLE to find even books on this thing!

Use German goole Google.de because Opel is a German Brand. You will also find a lot there. And Opel had nothing to do with GM of Buick in the 70s. Opel was owned by GM from the 90s to 2019 Think.

Was just thinking for the manifold you could have welded some nuts on the broken studs and then with the heat from welding the nut on and an impact they should have came right out! But great work though it does seem simple to work on! I can’t wait to see the rest of these videos

Robbie bro you gotta look into getting a oxy-acetylene torch setup. Heating up those manifold bolts with a torch and the vice grips would have taken them out easy.

You could use a Mazda, CRX, or civic rad you'd just have to make custom mounts and stuff. Since it's a small low horsepower car you shouldn't need a crazy cooling system

Yo also running a bunch of wires as a wire harness, something I just learned from another channel(I THINK mighty car mods) twist all those boies up a bunch and run them. They flex better and stay together without zip ties every foot of run.

im in ohio, we use rad(radiator), alt(alternator), trans, diff... if they dont know what it means then they're not car people's. And if they do but are too fancy to use them terms, they probably work in a porkcha or lamber-magini shop and never work on anything just have insurance total a car out cause the windshield sprayer stopped working.

Never watched your videos, but when i see Manta in a thumbnail, i have to click. Those things are pretty rare here in Europe, can't imagine how hard it is to find one in there. It is a GM car, but made in Germany. So i don't believe they were a huge thing outside Europe.

I’m sure someone else has commented this by now, but you do not need a “rad” to start a motor. You can start it and run it with no “rad” and run it, just do not run it to “temp”.
