In this Video Exhaust was completely stock. Meanwhile pre-cat is removed, middle silencer is gone and only a small end silencer (Supersprint) is there. Main Catalyst is still there of course. In two weeks time a 3 Liter M57D30 is going in. I already did prepare the Software based on the last E39 530d Software available. So to answer your older question as well, i do the Software all by myself. Greetings..

Hallo, ich optimiere den 2.5 DTI genauso wie den 2.2 DTI den ich vorher und teilweise parallel hatte, selber. :) Der Motor (M57D25) im Video ist komplett Serie. In 2 Wochen kommt ein 3 Liter M57D30 samt 1800 Bar Railsensor und 3 Bar Ladedrucksensor rein, die Software dafür hab ich mittlerweile fertiggestellt auf Basis der letzten erhältlichen 530d E39 Software (dort kommt der 3 Liter Motor her). Injektoren kaufe ich sechs neue bei Bosch. Gruß, Thomas

E39 ECU does not work, you need to modify the "Opel" version of that EDC15C4 ECU.

In this video the only modification was the Software, car was completely stock. Torque was not measured, only Power (213 hp). Engine was a good one, had 170 hp even with stock ECU which is restricted in amount of fuel used compared to the 163 PS 525d ECU. But when i look at the amount of fuel used in Software from 530d (390 + 410 Nm) and 730d (430 Nm), it must have been around 420 to 430 Nm.Now with the 3 liter Diesel engine, it should be around 450 Nm. I limited torque till ~3000 rpm to not put the automatic gearbox at risk. 550+ Nm would be possible and around 500 Nm with the 2,5 liter engine.

Thats nothing you can do "just like that", it needs a LOT of time finding the right maps (took me quite some weeks on the 2.5 DTI EDC15C4 ECU) and you really have to understand how those maps work together and in which order. Also you need to really understand how combustion in a Diesel Engine works. One false modification inside the Software and your Engine is killed. Maybe this sounds arrogant but i really mean it. I took years for me with lots of learning, lots of Books and other stuff to be where I am now. Resticting torque is the wrong word. I just did not give it the full fuel i could in low end revs, just to prevent the 5L40-E from too much stress. I could do like 500 or 550 Nm but for the sake of the Gearbox i did like 430 to 450 Nm which it can take quite well.

I understud that, becuse I ask what are you doing. My car has got changed map, but that owner before me done. He told me that he power up the engine for 20 % but when I ask what happend with tourque, he didnt know to answr me. I flush gearbox when I buy omega, using dextron lll and read much about 5l40e, and understud that that kind of gearbox is not good for big tourque. They say that 340 to 360 Nm is his maximum of tourque. So that is why I ask how you restricted tourque.

The Question is, did he really change the software or just put in a Tuning-Box which increases rail-pressure by x %. But on the other side, also many Tuners do just that "+ x %" stuff when they are changing the software, often no start of injection change, boost is often also changed over the whole map which is crap as well. But engine power is revs * torque so if the engine power is increased by 20 %, in theorie torque is also increased by 20 % which would be 360 Nm which is still no problem. The gearbox actually takes more than that. What happend with temperature? Normal or fast too?

Temperature is perfectly fine. It's normal on Omega B that the Temperature needle goes up when the water gets hotter. On modern cars, the needle is like constantly at 90 °C even when the water is hotter.
