Despite the stylization and complex poses, it was able to gauge incorrect proportions, incorrect light sources, strengths and weaknesses of color choices, and on top off all critiques it was able to offer possible enhancements to make them stronger pieces. The only reason it's not AGI is that it is being constrained by alignment rules and hardware configurations. They nerfed it with no consistent memory for so long. @@tyler.walker Gemini , even the free version is far superior at Asian languages for character recognition still than GPT4o (even if GPT4o finally got better at Japanese than Gemini for writing composition), it's really sad, because Gemini can read my handwriting and GPT4 cannot, not even more than 10% of it, while Gemini is 90%+, it's crazy how different they are in strength when it comes to Asian languages/image processing in that regard. Although I would say GPT4o is a bit better at coding now, finally, it's around Claude3 level or maybe better, and it has the speed now. It really depends on the use-cases and exact tasks you use them for for which model is better. GPT4o is probably the best 'free model' now, although LLAMA3 with Groq chips can do some tasks better and quicker.., still no where near where I would need GPT4o to be, and I can't believe they made it free, if they release GPT5 to paid users then maybe I'll be a bit happier with them. I hate to be that guy, but from my experience, GPT-4o in ChatGPT is barely better than GPT 3.5. I don't know where they got those numbers from, stating that it's better than Claude 3 Opus (???) couldn't be further from the truth. The 4o model is completely inconsistent in its answers and hallucinates a lot; it doesn't pass many 'tricky' LLM tests, which GPT-4 does pass. If the new voice mode is exactly as shown, and the examples are not fine-tuned or cherry-picked, it could save this whole thing from being a failure, but for now, unfortunately, I'm gonna stick to the slower and more expensive GPT-4 for the sake of quality responses
@phen-themoogle7651
@phen-themoogle7651 4 ай бұрын
From my experience it's only slightly better than GPT-4, it improved in a few ways: Language-wise: Knows what yojijukugo (4 character idioms) are now in Japanese, before it would do 8/10 yojijukugo and two would be lengths longer than 4 characters for them or say lengthy proverbs on occasions, now it's perfect on that, and it can do haiku correctly in Japanese now. Before it was using English syllables and translating them to Japanese or something strange to always be off, but now it's right. Progamming-wise: Better at generating random games I come up with (Snake as a platformer with jumping physics) , gpt4 couldn't do that at all, and it would fail at many pygame-related tasks, this one gets a lot of more things right and the games feel a bit better...but then still completely fails at a lot of the same things too (can't make a nice space invaders game from the start, I only tried two-three times though, but not any better than previous model) , innovation-technologies-wise: It cannot create new technologies by itself, nothing super creative. Chess-wise: Seemed to play slightly better than the previous version, but I just played on the phone with it and reached the rate limit fast so we did half a game. Listening comprehension seems passable, but it misheard me incorrectly in my native language too a bit, so kinda hard to use for some language study in live convo, especially with such a short rate limit. The speed boost does feel good in some ways though, I was tired of waiting forever for it to get code wrong, now if it's wrong, at least I don't waste as much time waiting. It still can improve a ton though...I'm just really disappointed that they didn't release something that would be years or a year ahead of all competition, and they made this free...are they going to release GPT5 soon to paid users?? It doesn't make sense to make this free, like what's the point of paying for this when everyone is using it free now..

@@phen-themoogle7651 Thanks for sharing your experience, I will further test the 4o model to find out its strengths. Speaking of their decision to make it free and available for everyone might actually be indicative of that they are preparing something revolutionary like GPT-5. It looks excitingly similar to how it was with GPT-3.5 and GPT-4. GPT-4o seems to GPT-4 basically what GPT-3.5 was to GPT-3. I’m interested in the voice feature. *1.* Does the voice feature work with GPTs? *2.* Can the voice feature be used for teaching purposes? (e.g., Can I upload a PDF version of my textbook, and ask ChatGPT to help me learn the material from each of the chapters?) *3.* Can ChatGPT be a language tutor to help me learn foreign languages? (Also, if ChatGPT is teaching me how to say something in a foreign language, can it also use the screen at the same time to show me how to spell the words in that language? Pronunciation and spelling go together when learning a new language.) *4.* Can ChatGPT help me improve my communication skills? Also, can it remember what aspects of communication I want to practice on, as well as areas where I was struggling in previous chats? These are what I hope would be possible to use ChatGPT’s voice feature for. I want the chatting to have a purpose/goal each time. I don’t want to just do random chatting.

@@souljaboytellem. *1)* Ok *2)* I saw the video where AI tutors a kid on a math problem. However, that was just one problem. I was wondering if I could upload a PDF textbook and ask ChatGPT to break down a whole chapter for me, simplifying it, while also teaching it in-depth, using the learning style that works best for me. *3)* It’s nice that it helps with pronunciation & translation, but I want to know if it could show me something on the screen at the same time that the voice feature is being used. I want to know if it can use the voice feature to teach me how to say something in another language, while at the same time showing me on the screen how that sentence is spelled when written down. *4)* Ok

@@marki2325 I have yet to see any videos about the voice feature on ChatGPT being used in a structured way where there is a goal from the beginning. It looks like the user has to guide the conversation each time to tell the AI what they wish to focus on, and it’s not clear if the ‘memory’ feature can be applied during voice chats. I wish I could just enter a chat where ChatGPT has already been instructed on what I want to learn, instead of me having to explain it to ChatGPT each time.
@chariots8x230
@chariots8x230 4 ай бұрын
Also, I wanted to know if it would be possible for me to type the question/instruction that I want ChatGPT to answer and have ChatGPT respond to me through the voice feature. For example, if I’m using ChatGPT when I’m on the bus, I cannot use my voice to speak with ChatGPT because I’m in public and I can’t speak out loud. So, I want to type the instruction for ChatGPT and have ChatGPT respond to me through its voice feature, which I can hear by wearing headphones. Is there an option for me to communicate by typing text, while ChatGPT responds through its voice feature?

On the horizon of technology, a revolution is about to happen. With the launch of the new GPT-4 model from OpenAI, the world is about to change radically. This advancement represents a giant leap in artificial intelligence, providing an experience similar to that in the movie "Her," starring Joaquin Phoenix. This trend is going to catch on, and in the long run, everyone will want a personal AI assistant. Starting next year, all companies will want to integrate this technology into their products, offering AI assistants capable of interacting naturally and intelligently. I am extremely excited about all of this! Just imagine: now we can learn anything in a personalized way, with a personal tutor available at any time. We can have a virtual secretary, a robot to help us with our daily tasks, and even control our computers and smartphones with the help of this advanced technology. The next level will be an AI that fully integrates with our devices, making our lives even easier. This is simply fantastic!!!

Adding "starring Joaquin Phoenix" is clearly very untypical for human-like speech, though - which is why I think this might be an experiment of seeing whether they can trick people into believing this is AI-generated.

I was able to create a prompt and produce an excellent image using the Kinyarwanda language. GPT-4o will forever change the way we communicate across countries and cultures, for sure. What an amazing era! I also appreciate the fact that the new features of GPT-4o will gradually become available to everyone worldwide, instead of being restricted to certain regions and only accessible via VPN - something that Anthropic and Google are forcing on us users.

It's most likely not self-aware yet but this model was trained with hearing, vision and text at the same time, as a whole. It's not multiple models interacting together, it's one trained model on all those things together. It's beginning to look like what we humans do.

What if all of this is just an effort for humans to have a tangible entity that cares for us and satisfies our needs? It's like having someone who is always there for you, no matter how dark the world becomes. It's like having parents and a partner guaranteed. Yes, I know it sounds very exaggerated and even sick. I know that for many people, that idea is just insane, but think about it in the future, for space travelers. My point is that humanity seems to be trying to 'create a real god' or something like that. Do I make myself clear? I mean, it's creepy because that entity will be available as long as we pay for it or have access to technology. That's what's scary about all of this: the heavy dependency on this technology. But, as I said, we surely need that technology for space travel.
