Welcome back friends and thank you for checking out today’s video.
I always go to this forested area to do gear reviews, tarp shelter configurations and day camps and I’ve always thought it would make a great spot for a camp out so tonight we do just that.
I’m sleeping out in an open tarp configuration, we try out a new beer, cook up an MRE for dinner and talk some talk. I also may have accidentally gotten drunk at camp. Oops.
Going forward I’ll be adding clips from my abandoned adventures at the end of every video so stick around til the end if you want to see how I spend time in between camps.
As always, thank you for joining me on my adventures and sharing in the experience 🍃

Coors Light only for you, Marlo! Great video. I loved the stove montage! The fireflies were awesome. They were spectacular in my yard a few days ago. Cowboy camping is the best if you can find a spot with no mosquitoes. Hard to do in Massachusetts, but there are a couple places on the AT that are perfect with sunset/sunrise views that can't be beat. I hope you made it through the heat wave with your spirit intact. Take care and stay safe!

Hey Marlo! I do believe this is the first time I've seen you drunk! You trying to get that stove put together, oh goodness! Maybe you should have saved the beer until last thing before bed! 😆I'm glad you finally did get it put together - ten hours later! 😂 There is no doubt that you are persistent and don't give up easily! After all that when you went for the smelter 😉, my first thought was, "Oh boy!" 🤣I'm glad you made it through unscathed! 😆No more Blue Moon for you young lady! I've never seen an MRE that could be prepared like that. Just add a water and it boils! That is really cool! Or rather hot! I'm glad you tried it and demonstrated it. I had no idea! Now the nerd side of me is curious about how it works. A side note, I am once again surprised about the length of your days there. It's amazing how much difference about 1,500 miles makes. You said first light was about 5:00 a.m., and that's about an hour and a half earlier than down here. I had just seen a husband and wife commercial fishing team on TikTok yesterday doing a live, and it was bright sunshine there in Maine at 5:00 a.m. I was surprised before in one of your videos this past winter when you mentioned it got dark around 4:30 p.m. Quite a difference between the Southeast and the Northeast. Another side note, you're the only one I've seen who said anything about have to get back up to turn the camera off! #keepingitreal 😆👍 Did you find your Flextail accessories? I hope you did. It's aggravating to lose something when you're out like that. I'm glad to see you adding urbex to the end of your videos! You have always explored the coolest places! That old church was awesome! And of course, the ever present Christmas decorations! Sad to see it had been on fire, and the organ left behind. I've never understood why the musical instruments don't ever seem to be sold when a church disbands. I, too, hate see heavy vandalism, especially in a church. He and his wife are no longer active on KZbin, but he said he normally didn't film churches because of the vandalism to them. Was the dorm building part of the church or a separate location? If so, I wonder if they operated a school there? I wish you could have gotten into the state facility building and library there. Neither looked like there was a safe way to get into them though, so better not to try it especially when you're by yourself. Sometimes locations change and what may have been safe before may not be later. Safety first always. As always, excellent, very enjoyable, and delightful video! Always a highlight of the week, and you are most definitely a bright spot sweet friend! Happy Independence Day, and I hope you have a great rest of your week and weekend! 🏕🏕🪵🔥🧯👊👍👍👍

@@AmericanExplorer hello and good morning my friend. Sorry for responding late.. I’ve been urbexing in new york. I need to pay attention to what im actually consuming because that slight intoxication snuck up on me, lol!!! No more blue moon 🙃 in my defense.. it was a tall can. 😂 That state facility at the end used to be a state school where they tested on kids without parental permission.. awful 😢 Yes, first light around here is way to early, lol… i think the birds started singing shortly after 4 am. I was quite surprised but it sounded amazing. Ive been back to this area 3 separate times… the flextail has left the forest and it wasn’t with me, lol… no clue where it went but I’ve since replaced it. Also…. Thank YOU for the coffee’s!! Quite a happy and caffeinated surprise and I WILL be using it for the magical bean juice ☺️☕️ greatly appreciated. I hope you had an amazing 4th 😁☺️🍃🫵🏻☕️☀️🚂🎇

@@ExplorewithmeMarloC "It was a tall can." Okay, I'll let you slide on that one! 😆 Sorry about the flextail doing like Elvis and leaving the building, lol! Glad you were able to get a replacement though. Just out of sheer curiosity, I would like to know what happened to it. But then again, if we knew that it wouldn't be lost, lol! That's horrible about that state school. I can't even imagine. I don't know how they kept anyone working there, and how they kept it under wraps. Maybe staff members were threatened, I don't know. You're very welcome for the coffees sweet friend, it was my pleasure! I hope you had an amazing 4th too! 🎆📜👍

I’m so happy to hear someone else has the beer snorts like me..lmao …😂 Marlo, I’ve got to get some of my fears addressed. I feel like if I zip that tent up that it’s like an armored truck… lol. Especially when you could carve out a door, in most tents, with a stick..😵‍💫😂…Love your set up.. maybe if I were to be camping with others, I’d feel safer.. idk.. so enjoyed this video as always Friend. I look forward to seeing what you’re doing every Sunday. Be safe and watch out for those tall boys.. lol 😂😂 iI remember the urban explore that turned into a ghost hunting situation very fast.. lmao… scared the crap outta’ me.. lol Thank you for taking us along as you know how very appreciative that I am during this time especially. Hey my friend ☺️ Beer Snorts! Lol!!! Having a tent somehow makes you feel safer for sure, it’s like shutting a door when you zip it up. False security but feels safer.. lol. This is a Great Video. I like that Tarp configuration; you know I'm going to have to Rock it in one of my videos. That's one reason I like Tarps, plus they are light and portable. Blue Moon, well the guy at the liquor store didn't do you any favor 😂🤣, you better stick with Coors. The MRE, I've had that same one and I enjoyed it very much; they are filling too. I couldn't eat the whole thing in one sitting. I also have that same Twig Stove, it is nice. I've only used it 3 or 4 times; I like Hugh large fires that last all night, I gotta have that 🔥🔥. As for equipment, yup, there comes a point when you don't need anything else until something wears out or brake. I'm pretty well done buying anything except hunting/camping cloths. Nervousness, it's always going to be there no matter how many times you go out. However, nervousness may lessen and anyone who says, "Ah no big deal, I ain't scare or concern", those are the ones who will be the first to run out of Dodge City 🙃. Keep the videos coming and most of all, Stay Safe.
