It is a great show. Its the long conversations about life between the generations that make it distinctive. And I love the the customer cameos. I grew up in a corner shop in the North of England, so its very nostalgic for me, in fact at the same time as this was made.

Keep this coming jay you can't beat a bit of open all hours just a brilliant program and the stuttering was added by Ronnie Barker it wasn't down on the script so Ronnie Barker put it in and apparently his dad owned a shop great reaction jay

Oh I love this show! I just came across your channel today and I’m going to have to go through your videos! I used to watch these all time growing up This and only fools and horses, doctor who, red dwarf, keeping up with appearances, father ted, are you being served, dinnerladies, dads army, last of the summer wine and blackadder… and fawlty towers… jaysus there’s so many amazing shows! I struggle to get into a lot of todays shows with a few exceptions of course 😂 currently loving the Reacher series and I’ve always had a soft spot for Supernatural (perhaps it’s the sound track)

Hope your feeling better jay,may I say I prefer it when you Clearly mark season &episode numbers.even though open all hours was mildly amusing it ran for a few years l973 to 1985 then in the 2000s it was a bit repetitive I much preferred porridge, rising damp&only fools &horses about the same time.
