The actor who played the vicar had lots of parts in 70’s sitcoms he was the Gasman on Rising Damp & appeared on George and Mildred

its titled that because as you can see from this scene the church is not "open all hours" as the vicar was suggesting previously in the scene. quite a clever title considering ronnie barker in both. wakey wakey.

I was gunna say that myself. Funny that the title is 'Open all Hours'. As that was the 2nd sitcom Ronnie Barker starred in.
