Open B - Command Discrimination #2 - NQ

Effective May 1, 2018, this exercise will be performed in the Open B and Preferred Open classes. This new exercise, in addition to the Stay - Get Your Leash Exercise, will replace the current Open Group Exercises.
Open 2 Command Discrimination (Down, Sit, Stand).
The principal features of this exercise are the dog's correct response to the handler's command and/or signals and that the dog stays until the handler returns to heel position.
In this sequence, the judge will give the first order to "Down your dog," followed by "Leave your dog." The handler will walk forward 15 feet, turn and face the dog. (The 15'marks are on the floor.) The judge will signal the handler to sit the dog, and then order "Leave your dog." The handler will walk forward another 15 feet, turn, and face the dog. The judge will signal the handler to stand the dog and then order "Back to your dog." The handler may use both voice and signals for each position change and each stay command.
This performance is non-qualifying (NQ). The order was Down, Sit, Stand. This dog stood and then went down. This was not a matter of a dog raising its hindquarters to go down; the dog clearly stood in place before going down.

Really should explain to folks why it is an NQ. Likely because handler had dog stand prior to downing but you should state there in the video.

I agree, this video is really confusing. It makes it look like it is okay to stand the dog and then down it. I didn't even notice the title of the video had an NQ in it the first time I watched it because it isn't written on the video itself, just at the end of title for KZbin (which didn't show up when I had the videos playing on auto play on my phone).

What's confusing about this video is that in the title it says that the exercise is down, sit, and stand. The judge tells the handler to stand her dog, but not to down him. So should this be an NQ for not following the judge's order or not? Obviously the order of the exercise should have been posting, and this is just a demo, but it is confusing.

The handler was told to down the dog, not stand.

Boy, I listened to it quite a few times before it sounded like the judge was saying down.
