Sony has very good products but as a Sony fan I admit that they have very bad pads that soon break down and the headphones no longer work comfortably. I recommend all headphones with ear cushions so you can use them for up to two years and then throw them away.

all PU fake leather materials deteriorate over time.. the only thing that would last indefinitely is real leather or fabric like suede which also need care and maintenance of their own

@@jub8891 Yup. And when your ear pads deteriorate ; you just buy new replacement ones. Either first party, or third party options that give you some variety. It's that simple.
