When drinker said "it was a dark and stormy night", I, as the reader, felt engaged by such a statement. This depicts the dark and dingy land known commonly as Scotland as a place of hell, almost satanic and cursed. This creates a dark atmosphere, which immerses the reader into the world. The adjective "stormy" connotes danger - which suggests Scotland is a dangerous place to live, which creates tension as we do not know if Drinker will survive. Alternatively, this could also be a metaphorical representation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, because it's pure fucking hell cringe

@@alexdececchi7075 what’s the difference? Is a reptile not just a modern day dinosaur?
@alexdececchi707511 ай бұрын
@@MC-wn9to So no, all reptiles are not dinosaurs. Of modern day animals the only dinosaurs that are left are birds with the next closest relative (and these gives split from each other around 240 million years ago) being crocs/ alligators. Marine reptiles is just a name given to any of the many reptile groups (some long gone others still around like turtle, crocs or even monitor lizards. In fact the mosasaur in Jurassic World is basically a giant aquatic Komodo Dragon) that lived in the seas during the time of dinosaurs. As far as we know there are no actual dinosaurs, besides birds, that where completely aquatic. Nessie is likely the ghost of a plesiosaur, a long necked type of reptile whose lineage is completely extinct (besides her of course). Now whether she is friendly or not I guess depends on if you appease her with enough whisky beforehand.

Scientist here: the ocean's volume is about 1.3*10^9 km³, which, if I didn't muck up my conversion, is 1.3*10^24 ml. Now a shotglass full of water (~20 ml) contains roughly 1 mol of water, i.e. 6*10^23 molecules. So if you drink a small beer, pee it out and mix it through the ocean, you could then draw a cup of water from the ocean from any place in the world and your cup would statistically contain at least one molecule which you previously peed out. Given the amount of time the dinosaurs been around, you absolutely drink dino piss every day :) Perhaps even more interesting, at least 60% of your body's nitrogen (close to 100% if you are from a first world country) went through the Harber-Bosch process, which is only about 100 years old.

Disney's got one more chance to save themselves. They need to remake Strange Magic! It was a George Lucas animated jukebox musical about fairies and a love potion gone wrong. It wasn't well received and was supposed to be "Star Wars for girls." This is totally in Disney's wheelhouse. They failed with Willow and Star Wars, but a romance movie with fairies is more on-brand for them. It's all they've got left of George Lucas's work that they can still do a revamp on.
