As a French I love the energy in this show and I’m very curious about the “American style “ and I also appreciate Christina’s design classic choices. It actually fits everywhere and lasts in the time. But the amount of money spent in the making of all that is absolutely stunning lol we don’t or can’t spend that money just for a kitchen in France. And I also think that Christina would be way more beautiful without all this sophisticated makeup. She would be gorgeous in a natural way. Maybe it’s just my French point of view. But I really do love the show!

People like to put their range on the kitchen island, but I always find it too much of a safety hazard, especially if the island is made for people to sit around. This may be because when I was young I got all the skin burnt off my arm from a huge spot of boiling water that had spilled over. Gas ranges also have raised elements which not only make it more easy for a pot to tip over. They also have open flames. If newspapers or letters are placed on the island they can easily catch fire if someone accidentally pushes them or if the wind blows them over to the range (his also happened in our kitchen!). Not to mention grease spattering when frying... Others like to place their sink on the island. It looks cool in the brochures, but in real life it means there are always dirty dishes lying around smack in the middle of your kitchen, unless everyone in the household immediately puts their dishes away in the dishwasher.

Cooks need a countertop right next to the refrigerator. Having the fridge sandwiched between tall cabinets means no space for groceries you are putting away. And no space when you are emptying fridge for cleaning.

Not the worst kitchen, but of course it’s white shaker yet again, and I’d have gone with a black electrical outlet on the side of the island so it didn’t stand out so much. I very much do like the cabinet hardware and the backsplash.

I think the island is too big. When you look at the kitchen, all you see is a huge island. It takes over the whole kitchen.

Any time I say Christina does the same black/grey/white, people scream "It's for resale". (I would walk out of a house if the expensive things like flooring and tile were this color scheme.) Okay, these people aren't doing resale and it's STILL the same. The only farmhouse thing I see here is the sink.

The Final Product is Beautiful but l would have chosen a Dark Metal Industrial but slightly Rustic Hood Range to match the Wrout Iron lights over the Island... and there No Art on the Walls! 😳
