It all seems awesome, but documentation still is very behind from what architects need, I haven`t seen any way to use hatchs or line weight without redrawing the whole thing.

I can say I use Blenderbim daily as my main tool for council and construction documentation, unfortunately I can't show those here for privacy, but there is an amazing company called Opening design that showcases their very detailed projects for free. Very informative video. In regards to the way you are using ControlNet, I would have selected 'scribble' instead of 'canny'. This will produce a much better quality image.

Hi Wing At the moment you would need to model them separately as different objects, visualised wall layers are being worked on but they aren't visualised yet

Hi Tim at the moment all energy calculations are done manually, however I soon hope to use ladybug in blender to do them

i think for 2d work blenderBIM should have option similar to mark freestyle edge for top front/right view so that when we make changes in the furniture then the 2d lines also get updated. Also if the Normals/shading of the surface or light can be mapped to gradient in svg then it will be a complete 2d vector workflow, i know it is very hard even for commercial softwares but maybe a topic for future improvement.

just as a side note, you may open svg natively in Qcad, and save directly in dxf/dwg (not line width issue)

Awesome video mate! I'm an architectural designer from New Zealand and I'm seriously looking at the opensource workflow. I already use Blender for arch vis and have just installed BlenderBIM. I will be relying very heavily on your videos in the coming weeks as I attempt to transition from archicad! Wish me luck!!

i suggest the name BlenderAIM for three reasons- 1. Aim means goal and hance BlenderAIM sounds like some purpose driven modelling. 2. BIM word is already polluted by Autodesk Revit. 3. BIM = building information modelling, AIM = Any information modelling. the concept comes to add information to the modelling so why restrict it to building alone. why we should follow the path of the other corporates but instead define our own. in solidworks bolts are automatically placed at holes of same dia, this is also information modelling but mechanical information modelling.

Unfortnately, among the AEC industry, AIM already stands for Asset Information Management :( BlenderAIM would be taken as a plugin for facility management and stuff
