Love your content BTW - you have a very technical approach to electronic news without the sensationalism or sponsor bias that plagues most channels. Thank you ❤

I love the Thread capable ESP32s, I've made lots of 3D printed lamps with them to make mesh repeaters. Its nicer than plugging in Onvis Thread Smartplugs just to have them plugged in. Now we have to wait for Thread 1.4 and Matter's Thread credential sharing to show up in public.

#ESP32 a diy flipper zero would be great or a meshtastic but I'll probably just move it around testing different projects with it.

#ESP32 project I was going to look into was, in fact, creating my own little Flipper Zero but did not think these boards were able to get utilized this way...now I know better. Of course, there are so many other projects I'd like to do with one of these boards...maybe even a meshtastic network of some sort. Anyways, there is my 2 cents

I also couldn't justify the flipper zero. It seemed like an expensive way to use Arduino sensors for 1980s tech with a cute firmware logo.

Indeed, a HackRF is a better deal.

I completely forgot zigbee enabled dev boards are available, I would gladly use the #ESP32 board to builds and test some custom made sensors/devices in my smart home network

#ESP32 become more powerful and cheaper for every release they put. I would probably use it to create some kind of HID device for the many usecases. As keyboard for home automation system, game controller or just display for data from home sensors.

#ESP32 I just today got my Zigbee Network working with my new RasPi 5 running Home Assistant. I've previously worked with ESP32 and WiFi. I'd love to try the new ESP32 C6 backporting my broken (electronically) exercise bike into an IoT device.

#ESP32 honestly I would love to just test out how thread works, it would be fun to create smart lights that don't need a cloud service to work with smart assistants

#ESP32 looks like an amazing device to get a start in Home Assistant automation

5:10 In general: whether something should be legal and how easy it is to inforce restrictions are two different things. I'm not saying banning the Flipper Zero is a good idea, just that your logic is flawed. There are lots of things that definitely should be illegal but are hard to enforce. Sexually molesting a child should definitely be illegal but preditors often take advantage of how easy it is to manipulate children mentally and emotionally so the children feel shame and avoid talking to other adults about it. That makes it very hard to enforce.

"Click click click click.". Nothing comes close to the fZ in functionality. The firmware for alternatives are complete garbage.
