No nested virtualization and maximum 16 cores per VM makes it a joke these days. Remind me how many years bhyve has been in development ?

I would say nested performance isn't good anyway (KVM or VMWare). And 95% of my VMs is setup with 2 cores anyway, so 16 cores is plenty. Sure there is user-cases for 16 or more but for the majority of servers is plenty. So not a deal-breaker for me at all. I will advice the developers to priorities other stuff first.
