I went to the garden tour this Sunday and was absolutely wowed by this house and then of course I had to look up Charles Wong when I came home and that’s what led me to this KZbin video. The house is spectacular! Great job, neighbors! Thank you so much for your love and care of this gorgeous house and garden.

Beautiful home! i love Mid Century modern design. it's my home crush!

Mid Century Modern is a term that is used very loosely … ‘65 is not mid century by any means, but the concepts of SoCal living had been already popular since, say, the late ‘20s when Schindler started experimenting with his own unique vision of relaxed organic designs

It’s a sign of a good job when it looks mostly original and “unrestored” when you actually put a lot of work into it. I too wonder why more people don’t put the effort into restoring existing diamonds in the rough. It’s so much more interesting, and existing homes are usually on bigger lots in nicer established neighborhoods anyway. So much more appealing. Very nice.

I always think that a kitchen island is a waste of space, but I love the counter-depth fridge/freezer. It doesn't jut out of the cabinetry as is the case with 'big box' kitchens. I also like that the kitchen can be [partially] closed off from what appears to be the living room. What I don't like is the proximity of the overhead power lines.
