Ahoy Legends, this week I take the tinny for its maiden run into open waters to chase some summer pelagics. Thankfully the weather proves to be amazing and it isn't long before the fish start to bite! No content with my catch from day one, I'm back out the very next day, but this time I've brought the reinforcements!! Hope you enjoy the episode!

Great episode. Loved having the flotilla in the background. Only thing missing compared to my inshore reef is a few genius’s trolling in and out of the boats, especially over the float lines. I can send you some! Cheers

That Javelin Lazer, particularly in red head is a great lure for mackeral. I have caught spotties, schoolies and spanish on that lure, and also incredibly an 87 cm snapper

Why don’t you use spot lock on the minnkota rather than anchor?

I haven't fished for spotties in years but we used to smash them inside the bar between Moreton and Straddy around this time of year, {when the blue butterflies were around}, and always used some wire, I actually used my old guitar strings....!😉

If you release them in the water they go fine, once they come out there percentage definitely goes down, but got a lot better chance of surviving then going in the esky 👍

Gee whiz thats the most packed i've ever seen palmy reef! tally creek used to be crazy good fishing but in recent years it's been flogged to death but it still fishes okay for the jacks further upstream and flatties at the mouth. bream in there seam to be piss weak compared to the ones at currumbin. the tailor and jew fishery sucks as well no for some reason.
