Sometimes I'm wondering if the whole video is AI generated. It's impressive what you can do today in eleven labs.

One thing which I feel they need to work on further is the subtleness of language and gestures. I feel like currently it is difficult to have a "natural" conversation, usually in a conversation it is better to answer just "yes, no, uh-uh, mmm, ehh?, etc" or using gesturing since these are fast responses and allows the counterpart to respond quickly without having to wait for a full paragraph to finish. The "flow" of the conversation has to be considered, if I talk in short sentences then i would not want the AI to talk lengthily since it feels like the AI places 100% focus on articulating a situation which means I need to process more information when a short simple answer would've sufficed. In addition the context of the conversation, some conversations require just short sentences while other situations could utilize the highly articulated language of ChatGPT. If we want to replicate human behavior then we need to place more focus on humanizing human speech-to-AI speech conversations.

Pretraining is not over as Ilya suggested recently. I think what is over are digital datasets - we used them all. Now its time to plug the machines directly to the same unlimited dataset as we are plugged into - the physical reality, the universe. Hence we need to give the AI bodies. This is the only way so AIs can interact with the world and learn by trial and error in rich physical realm same as we do. This is also the key to creativity - we humans did not "created" anything. All our inventions are just decoded principles of physics put into our intentional use. If we plug the AIs into the physical realm they will be able to do the same. Deep machine learning + artificial bodies + pretraining and interference merged into one - this is the way to achieve real AGI.

One day, daycare centers will be overrun with these robots, expertly handling snack times, tantrums, and even the dreaded diaper duty-probably with more patience than most humans. Imagine a robo-babysitter saying, “Cleanup complete!” after every wipe...lol!

Interesting. I think a home robot would need interfaces to connect with the home owners computers, washing machines, keyboards, and other devices. It's fingers won't fit all places. For example if I ask it to type me a letter to my Aunt. It wouldn't be able to but if it had a Bluetooth connection , then, yes, it could!

I hope OpenAI sticks to software development. Doing hardware would just be a distraction. There are going to be lots of robots on the market in coming years, OpenAI could be the brains of every one of them. Stick to your core competencies, OpenAI.
