Great content. Speaking to the product I’m Shocked to see positive comments at $45+ per card this has to be one of the most brutal ROI products out there. Another UD cash grab, think of the singles you could buy for $380… think of the singles you could buy instead of a box of the cup for $1400 and maybe getting $200-$300 in cards / players you never wanted anyways. Yikes

I’m not into collecting anymore but I genuinely don’t get how people still buy these products. SP authentic used to be $120 cad with 3 autographs guaranteed. Of course it was panini but the last year of panini dominion was $200 for 4 guaranteed hits, all on card, and premium feel/design. Now it’s $180 for 2 hits of shit quality, a sticker auto not numbered of a small name player and a base jersey not numbered? For $180? Are you kidding me?

it seems like the quality of cards has gotten shittier over the years and yes, a Upper Deck is a big part of that problem. Panini needs to come back and get the license again. I love their stuff back in the day. Getting screwed over on your box of cards as far as value is concerned has been a thing forever. It just looks shittier when you’re doing it with only four cards a box. But that’s the same with all high end products, high risk, high reward. It’s very rare that anybody actually makes money off of a box of cards. We all know this. Even for me it’s only happened a few times in my life and luckily they were recently. the definition of a hobby should be the thing that you like to do that sucks money out of your wallet.

SPX has never been a favorite of mine, but to average$45 a card is robbery. You would have to get a monster hit to recoup the cost of a hobby box or 2. They really screwed up Metal Universe compared to last year's product(don't get me started on blasters--what a rip!!). Great content as always!!!

I was in the hobby, I am not anymore. Almost 400$ for these cards… I don’t get how anybody could be fine with that… Upper Deck and the cards business in general is literally a hustle… The amount you would have to spend in order to get something with actual value…

I understand group breakers and people opening for KZbin, but wow $160-190 CAD plus tax for 2 base cards, a $2 jersey card, and then a likely crappy auto is absolutely crazy. Id rather do almost anything with the money at that point or donate it to charity then to get willingly destroyed and disappointed by upper deck. If they are still selling boxes they have got to be laughing by now

​@miken8889 there's guys that are all stars who's young guns don't even go for 80$ at a psa 10 and patch autos of legends that aren't even worth 400$ so depends on what you think a serious card is because to 98% of collectors any decent name players rookie is their grail card most people either buy into case breaks or don't even get cards no more plus the odds of even getting like 50% of the box value back is probably about 1 in 5 with most products so we all hit stinker cards of sampu rentaa imagine someone who doesn't buy many boxes the odds are even worse then to have good cards

The paper auto in the window may not be ideal but it’s a lot better than the sticker autos they used to slap on the GU/AU RCs in SPx.

I would consider it on card if the player had the hold the card to sign it. Example. Trilogy signature pucks. I have a martin necas where he signed the puck but when lifting his pen he hit the edge of the card itself. Witch means the puck was in the card when he signed it. So I would call it on card. Any body??
