Looks like a typical eBay Morgan roll. A reverse will always be a cc, usually 1882-3-4. And the rest will be common dates.

Absolutely true, it's how they all are. Not gonna find a key date or anything really rare in these rolls. Be lucky to break even and to get dipped coins too is a shame... they charge that much then they should all be truly uncirculated and not dipped...

I did a little research and found that Frontier Trust operated from 1907 to Failure on.10/3/1955. (FDIC Records) Another bank purchased Frontier and assumed its operation.

Not rewrapped. Put together and wrapped in a newly bought old rolls which they do sell. Coin Help U did a video on this. Morgans were never put in rolls; they were bagged.

Something in that roll might surprise you! 🎉 I used to work for an auctioneer in Maine and there were a lot of old hoarders . I found a secret compartment in a deceased (old age 97) teacher’s home . This was over 25 years ago. It was hidden in a piece of furniture that we couldn’t move. So knowing the piece of furniture very well, there was no reason it couldn’t be moved. So I investigated and she had put decorative cardboard all over the dresser/armoire, she even wrapped the feet. I pulled the cardboard off, and under the last two drawers straight to the floor was silver coins! She had removed the inside drawers and glued the fronts back on! No wonder we couldn’t open those drawers 🤣 I can’t even tell you what was in there. I went through them and was astonished at the quantity and quality. I was in total awe. I was into antiques at the time and had collected some coins. I wasn’t a serious collector 😢. I gave them all to the auctioneer and I did offer to buy them but he sold everything to a coin dealer as scrap silver, this would have been 1994/1995?. That was the biggest loss I ever had on coins. I really missed a treasure trove. The coins were loose or in little brown envelopes and regular ones, with hand writing on the front.. Suzie’s cookie money week 1 of September and it was for several students. Most of them were dated from 1940 on up ,but the a lot of the coins were older. I Found out later from the family ,that she used to make the cookies for the school where she taught at . So … I think you’re a winner Rob! Now that I have given you my sob story from MAINE! 🤣 Peace brother. 🙏🌎☮️♥️

If you turn off AWB (auto white balance), and set the color temperature to the 5000-5600 range, you’ll be able to wear the gloves without the color turning to yellow.

I bought a roll very similar (probably both from Sterling Collectibles). Mine was $2,500 with a dmpl CCs on each end. One was 1880, the other 1882. 1880 came back MS65DMPL, the 82 was MS63DMPL. BUT, there was another CC in the roll. It wasn't PL, but it was MS. So I came out ahead on my roll (or will when I sell them), but I've heard numerous people say they felt ripped off from the rolls. I guess I was just lucky, but I'm not gonna tempt fate and ever try that again.

My folks always used to say that there is no free lunch. The kind of offers like the one you purchased are usually much worse yhan your tesults. Often there are many more duplicates, often common. The fact that you did not lose money is a happy occurrence. In my opinion, the only time opportunities like this are worth the gamble is when you can afford to lose the entire investment. It is a shame we cannot walk back in time to find treasure from years ago. Nevertheless the service you provide is interesting but not necessarily repeatable.

Does everyone who sells these "unsearched" Morgan rolls buy their wrappers from the same place. They all look the same. currently on Ebay there are about 2 dozen CC ender rolls listed. 11 rolls are from the same dealer. Daniel did warn everyone about these listings.

There were MANY of certain dates minted (tens of millions). Any coin with a mintage of 10 million or more is considered “common” due to the large mintage and presumed easier availability. Semi key is 5-10 million. Key would be less than 5 million minted, and definitely key if total mintage is less than 1 million.
