I still remember my first cards. Heading over to my local Bartell Drug store they had a single glass box display with the first ever starter decks (not structures). I got the Pegasus, my brother got Kaiba. My love of Relinquished has stayed ever since.

2003 I was heavy into yugioh, played in tournaments, especially when invasion of chaos dropped, had my first tournament win along with the first time a card was stolen from me while trading, haha fun times, love every set you opened here, anything from lob to ancient sanctuary hits the nostalgia hard, awesome video sorry for rambling

I remember ioc good cuz i loved the emperor dragon but ancient sanctuary i only remember couple of cards so i think i got out after pharonic guardian. I hated skill drain blanking my effects and couldn't ever draw mst or heavy storm was in highschool in 03 my friends talked me n2 another great dead now tcg back then good times.

The 2017 reprints of the 2002 sets were definitely the best ones in my opinion, due to the original borders and lighting, it’s a shame the 2022 rereleases used the current 2020 copyright borders, but the retro pack somehow reinstated the original borders that was used back in 2002, but still updated the copyright, so I wonder why they didn’t do this in the first place?
