There's another big moment for jiu jitsu, when Carlson start to have group classes, witch is the way we do today. Carlson in my opinion is the greatest gracie of all time

As far as Helios 1935-36 matches Do you think they were being stood up by the ref after every takedown? Probably judo rules. I doubt Helio would be wanting to stand up constantly on his own doing

I think what Robert is saying is that at first Hélio Gracie was loving the judo and learned about Kosen send you down slowly it went to the ground more more. I was the same way she does a beautiful, classy art and I used to try to fight in tournaments Brazilian jujitsu tournament standing with an erect back Juda style. I like to mix both together before we realized the importance of wrestling so I understand how Helio Gracie might’ve been doing kind of the same thing not that he got into wrestling but more into the ground knowing that he’ll never catch them at stand up

And also probably falling in love with the ground, grappling, and the usefulness on the street, and for the smaller guy

No mention of how the Gracie's just stole catch wrestling moves and relabeled them.👎

There is no stealing there’s just putting the right Martial Arts Moves togather Growing a Martial art combination needs to rest that’s all . The Gold Mine is still inside. The belly of the Jiujitsu, don’t kid yourself and they pave the way multiple levels so calm down step away from your insecurity. Everything has a piece of truth but Jiujitsu,’s got a Lotta truth for the street for sure and class.
